Random thoughts this Friday morning:

1. If I were to open a restaurant in this lifetime, malulugi yun. I love all things charred and burned, so uulanin ako ng reklamo. For example, Nasi Haus sent me roti with curry sauce, DIY ito. You just toast the roti direct from the freezer without oil. Di ako pumayag na basta mild charring lang. Sinunog ko talaga. Sarap na sarap naman ako. But ako yun ha. Will post on the comments how it should actually look like; I asked for their stock photos.

And yes, agahan ko yan. 'Cause ang sarap naman talaga. Not a lot of folks enjoy Indo-Malay food, but try niyo kasi nakaka addict.

2. We will be at the Dinagyang festival next week so see you there if you're going. I honestly don't know much about the festival because it's sooo expensive to see festivals here in PH, so I usually purposely avoid festivals here sa atin. Case in point:

3. This March, we will also be attending a festival in Bali, their so-called Nyepi, or Balinese new year. It's filled with temple activities and a big parade will happen at night, accompanied by music and merriment. Hotels? 1000 pa din yung mga "budget" hotels pero may pools and about 1200 for places with buffet breakfast. Sing mahal na din halos ang flights dahil ang mahal ng flights sa Pinas during festivals.

Aware naman ako that flights and hotel costs also increase abroad during festivals but they have enough supply of hotels such that the demand isn't 200x more than the supply.

Anyway, if you have the time and budget to see Nyepi this March, it will be on the 22nd and the parades will happen on the 21st. Tara!! We can meet there if you're going!
