A "Minimalist" Design Approach of a Commercial Building with Roof Deck.

GROUND FLOOR:
The ground floor layout consists of two-unit commercial spaces that can be unified for more flexibility in rental marketing.

SECOND FLOOR:
The second floor is a 3-door studio-type apartment with a Mezzanine to accommodate more bed space and can be either used for family living or by an individual occupant.

ROOF DECK:
The owner requests a roof deck intentionally for future expansion of the Third Floor.

Design Description:
The Sun Orientation of the Lot is an afternoon sun, in which the facade directly faces Sun Exposure. So, we've integrated a Brise soleil also known as Sun Breakers, and designed a desired span of Canopies to mitigate heat gain and sun glare and more likely to lessen or curb the use of curtains or blinds which affect the vision from the outside. Promoting Green Architecture, passive cooling, and natural lighting has a significant impact on the design process.

Designing is not meant to be perfect, but rather aiming for the best ideology in the Comfort of any Space.
