DOST OneLab visits P LAB ASIA PACIFIC INC.

The DOST OneLab Project Team is happy to have visited on 16 July 2024 the P Lab Asia Pacific Inc. which secured their laboratory accreditation under DTI - Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB) based on PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and will soon become a member of the DOST OneLab Network of testing and calibration laboratories.

The P Lab Asia Pacific Inc. is located at Level 3, Unit R11, Allegro Center, Chino Roces Avenue Extension, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a third-party testing laboratory that provides analytical services to various food, water, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and packaging materials manufacturers as well as in the environmental industry in the Philippines. It offers dependable Halal testing services that detect the presence of pork, alcohol, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in products with a quick turn-around time.

The DOST OneLab Team who visited the laboratory facilities and present the details about DOST OneLab to the laboratory were the DOST OneLab for TED Project Leader and Assistant Regional Director for DOST Regional Office No. IX Zamboanga Peninsula, Ms. Rosemarie S. Salazar, MSc, and the Project Coordinator, Senior Science Research Specialist and Quality Manager of the Standards and Testing Division of DOST-ITDI, Mr. Admer Rey C. Dablio, RCh, CCPQM.

The Project Team is thankful to the team from P Lab Asia Pacific Inc. headed by the Prime Group of Companies Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Mary Jane Alvero-Al Mahdi, for the accommodation and sharing of insights.

The DOST OneLab is a network of testing and calibration laboratories aimed at ensuring availability and broadening public access to testing and calibration services at a single touchpoint through an IT-based platform. OneLab uniquely facilitates the seamless laboratory transaction from sample receipt to release of test and calibration results as facilitated by the OneLab Referral System. With this efficient system, customers and stakeholders get the fastest turn-around time and expanded test and calibration offerings in the market. OneLab provides relevant and efficient laboratory services for industries, research institutions, other government & non-government sectors, and the general public. It offers wider scope of services for different materials and products. The DOST OneLab Network is composed of 16 DOST Regional Standard and Testing Laboratories (RSTL), 7 DOST Research and Development Institute (RDI) laboratories, 1 DOST Service Institute laboratory, 34 non-DOST government agencies and private local laboratories, and 10 international laboratories as members, giving a total of 68 member laboratories.
