Our Bibingka French Toast is one of those dishes you’d regret if you haven’t tried, and regret even more when you did and found out it’s around only for a limited ride.🫣

Wow I never thought I’d appreciate matcha EVER.🍵 I’ve already said that before but this is me thinking out loud: it really wouldn’t have been authentic of us to just whip something “market-safe” (if ya know what I mean).

Since we felt the need to honor today in a post, I read about what went down on this day when our independence was declared, revisited what our people went through to get there and rediscovered the value of the freedom we have today.

It surely doesn’t mean the same way for the people back then as it does for me today. But I am thankful because in my little world,
with all the things that can be controlled,
I get to call the shots.

I’m enjoying a great sense of independence and freedom; and I know that I owe this privilege to a lot of things.
One of them would be our dear Philippines.

In our quest to serve flavors from various parts of this crazy world, here we are with a new temptress, the San Sebastian Cheesecake. This dessert originally came from a restaurant in northern Spain which we know as Basque Burnt Cheesecake.

The recipe has been around for years and it’s one of the best gifts to mankind.🤤

We’ve seen it in a few restaurants in Manila BUT. Of course, here at The Black Bean, the experience is something else (expecting nothing less!).

Some of you guys have shared with me how you held back from ordering our Chicken Pesto Sandwich or that you went for something else but totally regretted once you actually got to try it.😅

I get you! I’d normally go for the sliders😂

But yeah, lately, we’ve been thoroughly fond of taste testing our pesto. It’s fresh, it’s neat; no shortcuts, no cheats.
