Basic Emergency First Response training is a life-changing experience. It empowers individuals to be prepared, take immediate action, and potentially save lives in real life situation.

𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐁𝐅𝐒𝐒)
-Basic fire safety and suppression training is a fundamental program designed to educate individuals on essential fire prevention measures and response techniques. Participants learn to identify fire hazards, operate fire extinguishers, and effectively use fire safety equipment. This training equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance workplace safety and respond to fire emergencies confidently.

-High-angle rescues are complex and demanding operations that require well-trained personnel and specialized equipment. These operations are commonly conducted by skilled rescue, including mountain rescue, and rope rescue. The goal of a high-angle rescue is to safely evacuate individuals from precarious situations and provide them with the necessary care, often in challenging and unpredictable environments.

- 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 "In response to unfortunate events, 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 took the lead in organizing the repacking of reliefs for the victims of disasters, including residential fire outbreaks, floods, and typhoons. This noble initiative acted as an extended hand of the students from the 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚, providing crucial assistance to those in need during difficult times."

- 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡: "At special occasions within the 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚, such as the First Day High, 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 took on the crucial role of event marshals. Their primary responsibilities included safeguarding the security, safety, and well-being of all attendees, effectively averting any potential unwanted incidents or scenarios throughout the event."

- 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 (𝐅𝐓𝐗) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑: "During the Field Training Exercises, 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 volunteers served as essential facilitators for this substantial event. Their primary role was to lead, guide, and oversee participant companies, ensuring they had an effective and safe program experience while proactively working to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all involved."

- 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 : "𝐎𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐-𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 actively played a pivotal role in facilitating the pilot implementation of the USAID Opportunity 2.0 Pathways Orientation for Youth and Higher-Level Education or Training Readiness. This program effectively encouraged and provided guidance to ALS-Youth students, motivating them to pursue further education at the Senior High School Level."

𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 aims to instill the values of service and patriotism while upholding the mission and vision of the 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚. The main objective of 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 is to be the primary implementer of the 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 Goals and Objectives.

•𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 is an organization where students are trained to help in disasters. They are equipped with knowledge about different preparedness to respond to incidents in our community. The organization's purpose is to practice life protection, provide change, and lend a hand to those who are in need with the help of the igniting spirit of volunteerism.

Heavy to Intense rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in MetroManila, Bulacan, Cavite, Zambales, Pampanga(Candaba, SanLuis, SanSimon, Mabalacat), Batangas(Talisay, Laurel, BatangasCity, Taysan, Lobo), Quezon(Pitogo, Unisan, Sariaya), Rizal(Rodriguez, SanMateo, Cainta, Taytay, Angono, Binangonan), NuevaEcija(Lupao, SanJose, Munoz), Bataan(Morong) which may persist within 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

The 𝐏𝐋𝐕- 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞-𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 recently organized a Leadership Development Program training in collaboration with other Non-academic Organizations (𝙋𝙇𝙑-𝙍𝙊𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙎𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙏, 𝙋𝙇𝙑-𝙑𝙏𝙃𝙆, 𝙋𝙇𝙑-𝘽𝙍𝙄𝘿𝙂𝙀, 𝙋𝙇𝙑-𝘼𝙆𝙇𝘼𝙏, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙇𝙑-𝙍𝙊𝙏𝘾) on 𝙎𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 17 and 24 This initiative showcased their potential to serve as role models, highlighting their unity and discovering their strengths while training to become exemplary Volunteers and Leaders.

During these sessions, the participants exhibited remarkable camaraderie, showcasing their unity and teamwork. This collective strength underscored the essence of their roles as Volunteers and Leaders in their respective organizations. Through the challenges and training exercises, they discovered their untapped potentials, proving themselves as the embodiment of a Good Volunteer and a Leader.

VOLCANIC SMOG ALERT!!!

𝗔𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗴 𝗼 𝗩𝗢𝗚?

Ang volcanic smog ay isang mapanganib na kombinasyon ng gas at maliit na particulate matter na resulta ng aktibidad ng bulkan. Maari itong magdulot ng problema sa paghinga at iba pang sakit sa kalusugan, lalo na sa mga mayroong mga existing na kondisyon sa baga.

Ipinababatid po sa lahat na nakakasaksi ng tila FOG o HAMOG na nasa ating paligid. Ito po ay Volcanic Smog, inaabisuhan na maging mapagmasid at gawin ang mga kaukulang paghahanda patungkol sa ibinubugang usok ng Bulkang Taal na maaring makaapekto sa kalusugan.

Narito ang ilang mga 𝗽𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮 at 𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴 upang maprotektahan ang sarili mula sa epekto ng vog:

- Manatili sa Loob: I-limit ang mga outdoor na aktibidad upang mabawasan ang pagka-expose sa volcanic smog.

-Magsuot ng Face mask:Magsuot ng Face mask, lalo na kapag lumalabas ng bahay, upang mabawasan ang paghinga ng makakasamang particulate matter.

- Isara ang mga Bintana: Palakasin ang pag-sara ng mga bintana at pinto upang maiwasan ang pagpasok ng volcanic smog sa inyong tahanan.

- Manatili sa Labas ng Panganib: Subaybayan ang mga update mula sa lokal na mga awtoridad para sa pinakabagong impormasyon at tagubilin ukol sa kaligtasan.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗸𝘁𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗶
• Gumamit ng N95 face mask o gas mask

• Uminom ng maraming tubig upang maibsan ang iritasyon o paninikip ng daluyan ng paghinga

• Magpatingin agad sa doctor o sa barangay health unit kung kinakailangan.

Ang inyong kaligtasan ay mahalaga sa amin. Mangyaring ibahagi ang babalang ito sa inyong pamilya, mga kaibigan, at mga kapitbahay. Magtulungan tayo upang manatiling ligtas.

Look: PLV Students celebrating and welcoming both the freshmen and the new school year ahead of them last 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 (𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲). Guests are also the stars of the event and made the big celebration even more lively. By the help of various students from their different organizations, the university was able to successfully prepare lots of activities and fun booths.
