"Enamel Elegance" is a striking tooth sculpture assembled from styrofoam, felt paper, clay, plastic bottles, and cardboard. The fabrication process involved shaping the tooth form from styrofoam, meticulously layering it with clay for a lifelike texture, then adding intricate details using felt paper and repurposed plastic bottles. This sculpture signifies the fundamental components that contribute to crafting a flawless image, mirroring the meticulous artistry of esthetic dentistry in creating radiant, healthy smiles. The use of robust materials reflects the resolute nature of these dental professionals, illustrating their ability to fortify and enhance the beauty and strength of individuals' smiles. "Enamel Elegance" is a tribute to the unwavering dedication of esthetic dentists and the profound impact of their work in fortifying and perfecting the essence of each smile.

We molded the framework of the tooth using the wire, then making the roots we placed the mesh to encapsulate the old casts. The base was made from old cardboard boxes, and we designed it using tongue depressors. After that, we placed the PET bottles on top to make it appear like a crystal tooth.
The prism design of the tooth encompasses the facet of dentistry as a multidisciplinary branch of medicine and its ever-evolving pool of knowledge in respect to humanโs holistic health. In the advent of modern technology, PPTC has developed an app called OHA-NA, that signifies the chapterโs zeal to adapt, innovate and respond to communityโs scarce oral health knowledge in much efficient and attainable ways. Kindly scan the QR code and explore OHA-NA!

The most noticeable part of our face is our smile. Having a good set of teeth, free from cavities reflects beauty, grandeur, and glory. Thus, we need to promote good oral health through proper toothbrushing and proper oral hygiene.
Our majesty of health statue was made thru combined efforts of San Pedro City Chapter members. Starting from used 5-gallon water bottle trimmed and molded in a shape of a molar, then filled with plastic chips, reutilized gloves and near expired dental putty. For the tooth's anatomy, old newspapers, old dental reviewers, and used brown bags supported with paper tape. The root area was covered with used dental anesthesia carpules. The whole tooth structure was painted in white paint coated with glitters. For the crown of our tooth model, it was decorated with composite tubes, used anesthesia carpules, and old mouth mirrors. It is reinforced by a box of gloves for stability. For the eyes, a bottle cap and plastic bottle for the eyelashes were used. Molded dental putty was used for the mouth. The cape was an old fabric with Christmas garland and old rope. Supporting the tooth model was an old remodeled trophy.
Our 3D tooth model is a reflection of a majestic healthy smile as we promote better oral health.

The message of the artwork is for the younger generation to have knowledge about oral health and how to care for their own oral health through proper hygiene starting with teeth brushing (start them young). * The cast of RPD patients that have been used to build the crown of a tooth signifies that we can avoid being "bungi" or edentulous if we prioritize our oral health at an early age.

โNasam-it La Unayโ is an extraordinary sculpture that ingeniously repurposes materials, serving as testament to the resilience and artistry within the dental community. It weaves together elements symbolizing our journey.
The juxtaposition of dental casts and candies delivers a powerful message: BALANCE IS KEY. While the vibrant candies allure, they also represent risks of excessive sweetness and its potential impact on oral health. The dental casts molded into a tooth, reflects the sufferings and pains inherent in our patientโs journey.
The 20 CANDIES, also symbolizes two decades of the dental communityโs shared successes. The PURPLE and YELLOW DOTS surrounding the tooth, represent our community in ACTION, providing holistic care.
A toothbrush and toothpaste atop serves as a reminder on the delicate equilibrium required for healthy smile, urging everyone to savorโs lifeโs sweetness in moderation and to always brush, and include dentists, in their journey towards a happy and healthy life.

The tagline "Where Enamel Meets Eden: Unveiling the Artistry of Tooth and Nature" suggests a unique and artistic exploration of the intersection between dental enamel (the outer layer of the tooth) and the concept of Eden, is associated with paradise or a pristine, natural environment. This tagline appears to set the stage for a creative and symbolic representation of the beauty found in the realm of dental health and the natural world.
From a dental hygienist perspective, the artwork aims to convey the intricate artistry inherent in the structure of teeth, particularly the enamel. Enamel is the protective outer layer of the teeth, and its health is crucial for overall oral well-being. By describing the meeting point of enamel and Eden, the tagline suggests an appreciation for the natural and inherent beauty of teeth, highlighting the importance of oral health as an integral part of our overall well-being.
The tagline also emphasizes the harmony between dental care and nature, suggesting that taking care of our teeth is a fundamental aspect of living in harmony with the natural world. It encourages a perspective that sees oral health as a seamless and integral part of our connection to the environment, much like the concept of Eden represents a harmonious and pristine state.
Overall, the message is about celebrating the beauty and artistry of teeth while recognizing the symbiotic relationship between oral health and the natural world. It serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining healthy teeth as an essential aspect of our overall health and well-being, in harmony with the beauty of nature

Crafted from the weathered bones of forgo2en structures and the cast-off remnants of mechanical marvels. Its shape, a gleaming tooth, speaks of enduring strength and the unwavering power of a healthy smile.
The sculptureโs body is a mosaic of timeworn Maulawin wood. Amidst the rustic charm, a symphony of metal embraces innovation. Gears, pistons and valves, salvages from the discarded hearts of automobiles, are a2ached to the body of the tooth.
The black painted metal cradled into the smooth curves of the wood speaks of the delicate balance between the organic and the industrial. The vibrant hues of the recycled materials, once dulled by years of service, now burst forth with newfound energy, a testament to the transformative power of creativity.
More than an artwork, it is a beacon of hope, a reminder that even in the face of wear and tear, with proper care and attention, our smiles can endure. The tooth is a symbol of strength and resilience, stands as a silent guardian, urging us to cherish our oral health and embrace the beauty that lies within, even as the years etch their stories upon our teeth.

Tooth sculpture made up of paper mรขchรฉ, covered with refined saw dust and crushed egg shells. Additional elements crafted from upcycled materials such as nutshells, wrappers, reconstructed carton, wires, etc.
In this tooth artwork, hands delicately hold essential figures โ a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and mouth mirror that emphasize the vital role, simple tools yet significant elements, in our daily oral care routine for optimal dental health. These hands /people at work represent those actively engaging in tooth care- our own family, community and dental professionals, symbolizing the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving a healthy oral health. Turning discarded materials into a remarkable piece of art embodies a powerful reminder of community support to societyโs oral care- better teeth, better health.

We begin by gathering all the materials need. Moving on to the design planning phase, we sketched the desired tooth shape onto the styrofoam block and carefully strategize the arrangement of the chopsticks to accurately represent the tooth's structure
Following this, we use a cutter to intricately cut out the tooth shape from the styrofoam block and to create smooth edges we use sandpaper. We then proceed to the chopstick preparation step by breaking or cutting them into smaller, sorted pieces based on size and thickness and glued them to the Styrofoam.
The DIY tooth artwork made of styrofoam and chopsticks carries a profound message about sustainability, creativity, and repurposing materials. Through the amalgamation of discarded chopsticks and styrofoam, typically considered as waste, the artwork transforms these items into a symbol of renewal and beauty.
The tooth, a universal symbol of health and vitality, is reimagined as a sustainable masterpiece. This creation encourages us to see value in the overlooked and to find artistry in the ordinary.

The process in fabricating this artwork popped-up upon seeing an old tire that can be transformed like a lifebuoy or a life saver float. In the center of the circle is a hand carved tooth in 3 dimensions to emphasize the internal part of the tooth which is vital.
The old tire holds around the essential factors that would help protect our tooth as well as convey โGood Oral Health Careโ. We can see different fruits, fish and milk that are rich in Calcium, as well as green leafy vegetables, toothbrush and toothpaste. On top of the tooth are improvised mouth mirror and explorer that represent regular visit to the dentist. All materials used are upcycled, hand carved, crafted and painted.

The significance of a SMILE is deeply intertwined with the presence of beautiful and healthy TEETH, emphasizing the paramount importance of GOOD ORAL HEALTH CARE. It serves as a poignant reminder that the beauty of a smile is intricately SPROUTED from the WELL-BEING of one's teeth and ORAL HYGIENE.
This remarkable ARTWORK takes the form of a TOOTH sculpted from OLD NEWSPAPER and PACKAGING TAPE, adorned with a captivating mosaic of BOTTLE CAPS, SEEDS, and delicately cut PAPER. Notably, it possesses a rotating mechanism that gracefully unveils its intricate details from every angle, accompanied by illuminating LIGHTS that bestow upon it a radiant glow, allowing the observer to behold its splendor in all its glory. Embracing the rich heritage of our, this artwork seamlessly weaves tradition and contemporary expression. Intricately crafted through the age-old practice of "taka" or paper mache-making with a modern twist, old newspapers find new life as they are pasted and assembled with boiled ground rice. Subsequently, they delicately undergo a process of sun-drying and painting, symbolizing the resilience and strength inherent in cultural practices.
The ladders, fashioned from popsicle sticks and meticulously assembled with hot glue, introduce a contemporary touch. Serving as a metaphor for the steps one takes to achieve and maintain good oral health, these ladders also symbolize the journey toward overall well-being.
The title, translated in English as "Strengthen the Teeth, Discover Wellness," encourages viewers to reflect on the interplay between cultural heritage and personal well-being within the layers of this mixed-media creation. It invites viewers to discover the strength within cultural roots while ascending towards holistic wellness with an artistic flair.

This tooth artwork is a solely made of a recycled material from the renovated Municipal Health Unit of Laoang, both in medical and dental waste materials are the main component of this artwork.
The crown and the root of the tooth is made of an empty and used dental needle head caps, while part of the root is made of a vertical filed dental needle caps and vaccine needle cap. Bonded by stick glue and mighty bond with the help of nylon ties represents dentinal tubules. We also use PVC pipe to support the entire structure that represent a pulp canal of the tooth, wrapped with Styrofoam that represents dentin.
This entry is a collective idea of our peers in the Municipal Health office of Laoang, Northern Samar, in collaboration with the Northern Samar Dental Chapter.

Tools includes paintbrushes, palettes, scissors, knives, pliers, adhesive and welding instruments. From our artistic imagination we formed Bag-Ang with metal bar framework to make it hard and sturdy. Its form and shape is welded by the use of chicken wires. Other materials like paper bibs and plastic wrappers were used to make the outer layer. Other used dental materials were also incorporated to design, highlight and complete the artwork.
Inspired from the folklore Higantes of Angono, the Art capital of our province. Higantes was also formed from paper which was brought by Spanish priests to the Philippines. Like the Higantes or Giants Bag-Ang symbolizes strength, formidable abilities and power. Like the human healthy teeth that must possess the same character, it must have a strong enamel surface, healthy gums and have the proper shape and alignment, freedom from sensitivity and pain.

Recyclable materials are used in the tooth art work. Cleaned and dried empty 1.5 liter soda bottles cut in sections were securely bonded with glue and masking tape to form the main framework of the molar fruit standee.
White scratch/used papers were used to cover the main structure at the bottom part. The whole structure was painted white thereafter. An old reused plastic basket was placed at the center to serve as a fruit tray.
Our recycle art utilized materials that are usually discarded and found in the trash transformed creatively into something symbolic, (like a healthy young molar), functional and esthetic.
These plastic soda bottles, scratch paper and old basket would go directly to our landfills if not recycled. This instills consciousness about how we REUSE, RECYCLE and UPCYCLE our trash in our homes on our own simple ways. It highlights the urgent need for increased environmental awareness and personal behavioral change to aid in the worsening problem of waste management, pollution, climate change and the diminishing biodiversity. We do all of this not just for us for the succeeding generations as well.
