(PAPSAS) in Bohol. The three-day event, themed “ : Passion, Compassion, and Action,” brought together student leaders from various institutions to address key Sustainable Development Goals and promote volunteerism. DLSMHSI delegates engaged in workshops and discussions aimed at fostering leadership and service to their communities.

The event featured exciting segments such as blind karaoke, a runway show, and a lip-sync battle. Participating students also received goodie bags filled with chips and candies. Engage served as one of ISC’s media partners for the event.

The recent Typhoon Kristine has left devastating effects on the different communities of the Philippines. 🌧️ During the onset of the typhoon, we saw the people from all over the country join forces to help the affected people in bayanihan efforts. 📦

It is after these efforts that we must be mindful not to forget that good governance does not just lie in relief efforts, but also in disaster preparedness. ⚠️ Vote for leaders with the mindset to create change in our community through means other than providing money to affected individuals. 🗳️ It is about time we stop the cycle of this mindset and call for a change for the betterment of our country! 🚫🔄

The typhoon did cause damage to our community but the lack of preparedness and action from our government only amplified the effects of Typhoon Kristine. Mapapatanong ka nalang kung talaga bang “wala tayong magagawa”?

In the face of adversity, our community comes together in remarkable ways to support our fellow dormers who are impacted by Typhoon Kristine. We are pleased to announce a total of 𝟑𝟔𝟎 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙨 📦 were delivered in 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 last night.

The generosity of your hearts and dedicated efforts 💗of our volunteers have made a significant contribution in making this outreach possible amidst the difficulty of the calamity.

Filipino resilience is something we’re proud of, but it shouldn’t be an excuse to overlook the real help people need during disasters and natural calamities 💨.

While communities do their best to survive, it’s the responsibility of leaders to offer more than just quick fixes. True leadership means 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽, 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁. 👥

It’s time we stop accepting bare minimum efforts and start expecting leaders who genuinely care because in the darkest times, 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🗣️ .

During this time of calamity, we are all put into critical situations. In this time of need, it is unavoidable to depend on others to deliver necessary goods and treats that may reduce anxiety of being stranded in our dorms and away from our loved ones.

However, our delivery riders 🚚 are in great danger, making sure these goods reach our doorsteps despite their personal choice to work today. In these harsh times, let us practice compassion by maximizing our monetary tips according to our capabilities, giving them water and food, and a simple "𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗴-𝗶𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗼 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗼" 🫂 because they deserve it. In the times of great need, it is important that we offer compassion and assistance to those most in need. 𝘼𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙀 serves as a relief initiative dedicated to extend effort and provide support through donations from our Lasallian Community, specially now, for those hardest hit by 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞.

The donation drive will be from 🗓️ 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟸𝟼 up until 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟹𝟶. Your helping hand will be of great significance in this time of need.
