Congratulations too, Tomotosi!!!

With his innovative “Street Inasal meets Franchise Inasal” project, stood out due to its relevance to the current challenges faced by local food vendors. This project addresses the displacement of local delicacies by commercial developments, a concern deeply felt in Bacolod. His work not only highlights regional issues but also speaks to global themes of cultural preservation amid economic shifts. He has a clear understanding of the purpose of his proposal and how this affects our people and our regional culture.

We are looking forward to have you here!

A huge thank you to all who joined our recent Sensei no Wa focused on reflective assessment last August 15, 2024! Charry sensei from Pitogo High School and Cris sensei from UP Diliman shared valuable insights and practical examples of how reflective learning and learning records can be adapted in high school and university settings.

We explored the use of self-assessment tools like JTree in enTree and the Learning Record. JTree is a self-reflection tool used by students in Course on Japan for High School Classroom Instruction (CJH) schools. Students are asked to write their honest and meaningful reflections and manage their own learning process. The Learning Record, on the other hand, is a literacy assessment tool that uses teacher forms and scales, among others, to track student progress and encourage self-directed learning.

It was a fruitful session as we learned the benefits of having students take charge and document their learning. With over 30 participants, including aspiring teachers, this event fostered a vibrant learning community.

Mark your calendars for our next Sensei no Wa on Thursday, October 17th. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting opportunity to connect and share knowledge.
