A heartfelt thank you to DTI Philippines - Region 10
for inviting me to serve as a panelist for this year’s Bootcamp for Young Entrepreneurs (BYE) under the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP).
The YEP Bootcamp aims to bridge the gap in entrepreneurial education by equipping Filipino youth with essential business skills, mentorship opportunities, and access to financial and business networks.
As a panelist for the business pitching activity, I had the privilege of hearing bold, innovative ideas from passionate young minds across Northern Mindanao. Their dedication and hard work were truly inspiring!
Always remember: the greatest innovations come from staying curious and daring to think differently. True success is not just about what you build today, but the lasting impact you leave for tomorrow.

Congratulations, Maam Marrie R. H. Bacasmot! 🎉
Just like in a marathon, securing your family’s financial future takes endurance, focus, and dedication—and Marrie has just crossed that finish line with flying colors! 🌟
Application submitted the other day. Approved the next day. 🙌
Marrie’s race for financial security has been a swift one, and now millions are secured for her family’s future without even spending close to a million.
Talk about a strong finish and incredible value for money!👌
As a determined businesswoman, wife to an OFW, and supermom to two, Marrie has been running multiple races—balancing business, family, and her commitment to helping those in need with JCI Bukidnon Maragway.
But she knew this was a race she couldn’t afford to miss.
During our financial planning session, we mapped out her key goals, like marathon checkpoints, ensuring her family’s security as model parents 🤗:
🏃♀️ Mile 1: Fund for critical illness
🏃♀️ Mile 2: Comprehensive health insurance
🏃♀️ Mile 3: Retirement benefit
🏃♀️ Mile 4: Future income guaranteed no matter what happens in life
With her Sun Life plan, Marrie’s now covered until age 100 with just 10 years of payments—and she’s even earning dividends along the way! 📈💼
Marrie, you’ve run an amazing race and crossed the ultimate finish line for your family’s future. Your endurance, foresight, and love for your family make you a true champion. 🏆💖
Here’s to many more victories ahead, both in life and in business! 🥂

1. Take a Break: Step away for a few minutes to reset.
2. Prioritize: Focus on the most important task first.
3. Eliminate Distractions: Silence notifications and clear your space.
4. Try Pomodoro: Work in short, focused bursts with breaks.
5. Practice Mindfulness: Take a moment to breathe and center yourself.

Joining the C-ONE Badminton Challenge was an incredible experience! Competing against seasoned players from all over Northern Mindanao was intense, but it was all worth it. Proud to have earned a bronze medal with my partner in the men's level G category—a milestone in my badminton journey as a newbie.
This victory reminds me that growth comes from every match, every rally, and every step on the court. Here’s to embracing the process and celebrating each win, no matter how small! 🥉

Focus on doing things that bring you personal satisfaction.
Consider praise from others as a bonus, not the main goal.
When you work for your own fulfillment rather than seeking validation, you’ll find true satisfaction in your achievements.

In theory, consistency seems like it’s all about discipline, determination, and staying the course no matter what.
But in reality, consistency is about being adaptable.
Short on time? Scale it down. Low on energy? Do the easier version. The key is to keep showing up, no matter what life throws your way.
Consistency isn’t about rigidly sticking to a plan; it’s about letting your habits adjust to fit your circumstances. Adaptability is what keeps you consistent.

Word of Honor: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞
If you’re already living comfortably, choosing to make more money at the expense of your daily happiness is a bad deal.
Yet, we often convince ourselves to do just that. We accept promotions that bring in more money but take away our free time.
We push ourselves to grow a business that’s already successful, stretching ourselves too thin in the process.
The problem? We focus too much on wealth and not enough on our lifestyle.
Sometimes, what we really need is balance, not more money.

Mastery isn’t just about improving your skills—it’s also about removing the obstacles, distractions, and annoyances that keep you from working on what really matters.
Top performers make it a priority to spend as much time as possible on their craft and as little time as possible on things that don’t contribute to their success.
It’s not up to someone else to create the right environment for you to succeed. You have to take charge and cut out the tasks and distractions that don’t matter.
If you haven’t figured out how to do that yet, then you’re not truly mastering your craft.
Word of Honor: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬
You might be surprised at what you can achieve when you focus on just one thing. But if you’re juggling 5, 7, or 10 tasks at once, you’re likely to end up frustrated with the results.
No one performs their best when they’re stretched in too many directions. Concentrating on one goal at a time can lead to better outcomes and more satisfaction in your work.

Want to improve your ability to say no? Here’s a tip:
Start keeping a list of things you’ve said no to. Every time you turn down a distraction or pass on an opportunity that doesn’t align with your goals, add it to the list.
As your list grows, you’ll start to feel a sense of accomplishment for staying focused on what truly matters.
Over time, this practice will make it easier to say no and help you stay on track with your priorities.
Word of Honor: 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬?
When you drink water from a cup, it becomes part of you. But when rain falls on you, it evaporates and disappears. Thoughts work the same way—they can either be taken in or let go.
Ask yourself: Is this thought nourishing, like water you’d drink? Or is it more like rain, something that just passes by? You’ll always feel the rain, but you don’t have to drink it. You can let the thought go, and soon enough, the sun will come back out.
Not every feeling or thought needs to be claimed.
Sometimes, it’s better to let it pass and move on.

Word of Honor: 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡
Finding your way in life is like unlocking a safe. It’s not a straight path from A to B. Sometimes you have to move forward, then go back, taking different turns along the way. But those twists and turns aren’t setbacks—they’re part of your progress.
What feels like a setback now often turns out to be a step you needed to take. Every move you make, even the ones that seem wrong, helps you reach your goal.
The path to success isn’t always straight, but each turn is leading you closer to where you need to be.
So, when things don’t go as planned, remember—it’s all part of your journey. Keep going, keep adjusting, and trust that every step is bringing you closer to your future.

I just had one of those fulfilling days where I got to help three families set up a secure financial future.
It's such a good feeling knowing their loved ones will be protected no matter what.
All three breadwinners I worked with for the past days are dedicated government employees —and they each found a plan that perfectly suits their needs and financial goals.
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 ₱𝟯𝟵𝟵 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵! 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁?
For that small amount, she's getting ₱200,000 in life insurance coverage. What’s even better is that after paying for just 10 years, if she outlives the policy (which I pray she will), she'll get 50% of her money back. I think that's a pretty amazing deal.
It’s comforting to know there are plans like this from Sun Life Philippines that can make such a big difference for families.
If you’ve been thinking about doing something similar for your loved ones, let me know.
I’d be happy to chat and see if this plan could work for you too.
Take care and let’s keep sharing something positive in this world filled with senseless noise.
