Chamber of Young Development Communicators President Genavev M. Labora announced during the CYDC General Assembly on September 4, 2024 that the chamber is waiting for approval to impose fines and community service for students who are late or absent from University and CYDC hosted events.
Labora later clarified that the fines and community service will only cover the University and CYDC hosted events, and exclude major- and minor-subject classes. This is to correct her initial statement during the general assembly that caused students to assume that the penalties will apply to their major subjects as well.
