Honored to be invited to the 2nd Workshop on the Crafting of the Philippine Salt Industry Roadmap as one of the MSMEs who are into Salt Value Adding held at Cubao, Quezon City last June 4-7, 2024. Our thanks to BFAR - Region X.

Salt Industry is considered as a "dying" industry in the Philippines due to the Iodization law almost 30 years ago that discouraged the salt producers. This resulted to the Philippines importing 93% of the country's salt requirement to date. The newly signed law RA 11985 is to strengthen and revitalize the salt industry thus the need for stakeholders and govt agencies to convene in crafting the roadmap for the next 15 years.

May 20 is World Bee Day! Sharing with you this info from National Geographic on how wonderful this gift of nature is, the STINGLESS BEE HONEY (Kyut).

These stingless bees make medicinal honey. Some call it a ‘miracle liquid.’ In the Peruvian Amazon, native stingless bees are helping beekeepers and their communities by producing honey and pollinating local plants.
