Holy Wednesday

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙙, “𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙄 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙮 𝙢𝙚.” - 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙬 26:21

Have you ever experienced betrayal, especially from someone you trusted and loved? It's difficult to love and forgive after being hurt, especially if the one who hurt you is the person whom you value the most, but in the gospel of Jesus shows us the power of forgiveness and acceptance. Even before He was betrayed, Jesus knew it was going to happen, and He still accepted and offer forgiveness. Although it caused Him great suffering, but His love and grace prevailed in the end.

We can draw inspiration from this story to confront our own vulnerabilities and weaknesses and to choose forgiveness and compassion over bitterness and resentment. This passage teaches us the power of forgiveness all the more when we felt being betrayed. Despite Judas' betrayal, Jesus still showed him love and compassion, and it was not too late for Judas to repent and seek forgiveness. This teaches us that even in the darkest of situations, there is always hope for redemption and a way back to God. It is up to us to choose whether we will let the darkness of betrayal consume us or whether we will strive towards the light of forgiveness and redemption.
