DOST Bulacan Provincial Director Angelita Q. Parungao, shared insights on her profession as Nutritionist-Dietician during the opening remarks. This was followed by inspiring talks from Food Technologist Rose Anne T. Bautista, Mechanical Engineer Jairah L. Fajardo, and Agriculturist Neil Granado.
Mr. Rodrigo F. Roxas, Science Education Supervisor of DepEd Malolos, emphasized the forum's importance in shaping the future of young minds through valuable career guidance in his closing remarks.
The forum was attended by Science, Technology and Engineering students from Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School (Grade 7 and 10 STE), who are set to become tomorrowโs innovators!

From September 4-7, 2024, the Schools Division Office of the City of Malolos held its Annual Planning Workshop at Widus Hotel, Clark, Pampanga. This activity sparked a wave of inspiration and collaboration among the personnel. United by a shared vision, Chiefs, Unit Heads, and other division personnel tackled previous challenges with innovative solutions, setting the stage for a transformative year ahead. Guided by the wisdom of Schools Division Superintendent Leilani Samson Cunanan, CESO V and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Fernandina P. Otchengco, PhD, CESO VI, SDO units crafted actionable plans focused on excellence and integrity.
This workshop has ignited a renewed commitment to making a meaningful difference in learners' lives, embodying the spirit of teamwork and innovation that will define success.

Building Resilience Together: Empowering School DRRM Coordinators for Safer Schools and Stronger Communities
The Schools Division Office of Malolos successfully held a three-day Capacity Building Seminar for new School Disaster Risk Reduction Management (SDRRM) Coordinators from August 12-14, 2024, at the DJ Paradise Resort, Inc., Dakila, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
The seminar primarily aimed to provide new SDRRM coordinators with fundamental knowledge of DRRM principles, equip them with practical skills in technical areas, including knowledge of significant mobile and web applications necessary in accomplishing reports, and foster collaboration, promoting a healthy and supportive working environment among them.
Some of the engaging topics presented during the seminar include:
Day 1: The use of Rapid Assessment of Damages Report (RADaR) and School Watching Application (SWApp) discussed by Maโam Mary Grace June D. San Pedro, Head Teacher II, Namayan ES, and former PDO II of SDO Malolos.
Ms. Krizza Andrea M. Garcia, RPm, LPT, Project Development Officer II, presented Mental Health and Psychological First Aid.
Day 2: Workshop for Crafting of School Contingency Plan discussed by Sir Peter Lacap, Project Development Officer II, SDO-Bulacan.
Day 3: Basic First Aid Training led by our City Disaster Risk and Management Officers Maโam Michelle Hernandez-Pata, Maโam Maria Fe Lourdes Grace M. Sy, and Sir Antonio G. Sapasap, Jr.
The expression "Hey! Hey! Are you okay?" resonated throughout the three-day event. Participants understood the sense of urgency and emphasized the need for a swift response and recovery plan, which is at the heart of our SDRRM framework.

SDO-DRRM conducts Capacity Building for New SDRRM Coordinators
Lecture con workshop happened during the Capacity Building for New School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Coordinators with the theme โBuilding Resilience Together: Empowering School DRRM Coordinators for safer Schools and Stronger Communitiesโ on August 12, 13 and 14, 2024 at DJ Paradise Resort, Mc Arthur Hi-way, Dakila, City of Malolos, Bulacan. It was made possible by the Schools Division Office of the City of Malolos in cooperation with the School Governance and Operation Division (SGOD)-Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit.
The activity aims to impart fundamental knowledge on assessment and preparedness during disasters and calamities, practical skills (Basic Physical, Mental, and Psychological First Aid) in responding when emergencies arise, the introduction of mobile and web applications for quick reporting in times of crises and strengthening bonds between newly designated SDRRM Coordinators for harmonious working relations.
Invited resource- speakers tirelessly and generously shared their expertise and know-how regarding contingency planning and response during emergencies, disasters, and calamities that might be experienced at the school as a part of the community. The information and practical skills they disseminated to the newly assigned SDRRM will surely help in strengthening and building awareness to respond appropriately during those untoward events as well as avoiding the occurrence of various accidents.//IR

The Schools Division Office of the City of Malolos conducted its Functional Division Planning and Crafting of Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) for FY 2025 (PHASE 2) on September 2, 2024, at DJ Paradise Resort and Hotel.
This activity aimed to define a clear and compelling vision for the future of SDO Malolos City, establish long-term priorities that guide decision-making and resource allocation, formulate the vision of Malolos City Division and its learners, teachers, non-teaching personnel, leaders, and stakeholders anchored on SDO Malolos and DepEd MATATAG, and design flagship programs and craft project proposals for each functional division.
Assistant Division Superintendent Fernandina P. Otchengco, PhD, CESO VI, led the discussion on the significance of Data-Driven Decision-Making (DDDM) in the education sector as it transforms how personnel approach teaching and administration.
Unit heads were also provided an opportunity to report accomplished PPAs in the previous months of this Fiscal Year 2024.
In the last session, Schools Division Superintendent Leilani Samson-Cunanan, CESO V, motivated SDO personnel by discussing the topic of Empowering Excellence and Character.//KG

The Schools Division Office of the City of Malolos led the conduct of Ugnayan ng mga G**o at Pinuno 2024 (Batch 2) last August 29 at Malolos Sports and Convention Center (MSCC) Government Center. This activity aimed to set the current school year's direction and strengthen further professional bonds and regular communication between the teachers, school heads, and SDO personnel - Education Supervisors, Public School District Supervisors, and SDO non-teaching personnel.

Mariin po naming pinabubulaanan ang mga balitang ito. Ang lahat ng mga nabanggit na insidente ay walang batayan at likha lamang ng mga indibidwal o grupo na naglalayong magdulot ng takot sa ating mga kababayan, lalo na sa mga magulang at estudyante dito sa Probinsya ng Bulacan.
Base sa masusing imbestigasyon ng Bulacan Police Provincial Office, wala pong naitalang ganitong mga insidente sa aming mga himpilan, pati na rin sa mga barangay na nasasakupan ng Malolos. Bagamat wala pong naitalang ganitong mga pangyayari, patuloy pa rin naming susuriin at iimbestigahan ang mga di umanoโy insidente, gayundin ang mga indibidwal o grupong nasa likod ng pagpapakalat ng mga mapanlinlang at mapanirang impormasyon.
Hinihikayat po namin ang lahat na maging mapanuri at huwag agad maniwala sa mga kumakalat na balita sa social media. Mahalaga po ang pagiging responsable sa pagpapakalat ng impormasyon upang maiwasan ang pagkakalat ng maling balita na nagdudulot ng takot at kalituhan sa ating komunidad.

This initiative occurred simultaneously with a three-day capacity-building workshop held at DJ Paradise Resort, Inc., designed for our newly assigned School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Coordinators.
During this latest distribution, SDRRM Coordinators received Go Bags filled with essential supplies and tools necessary for effective disaster management. Hiling namin ang tagumpay ng bawat isa sa araw-araw ninyong pamamalagi sa ating mga sintang paaralan, kaya naman kasama niyo kami sa inyong pakikibaka sa pag-aaral. Palagi ninyo ring isipin na ang bawat hakbang na inyong tinatahak ay mayroong katumbas na bunga para sa inyong kinabukasan at ng ating bayan.
Sa pagsulong natin sa panibagong taon ng pag-aaral,
nawaโy magpatuloy tayo sa pagtataguyod ng kaunlaran, pagkakaisa, at pagmamalasakit sa isaโt isa. Magpursigi pa tayo, magtulungan, at yakapin ang bawat oportunidad na ibinibigay sa atin.
