True to our commitment of transgender-responsive and transgender-inclusive healthcare services, TRANScend by LoveYourself is proud to present that the Philippines will be taking part in the Southeast Asia Transgender Health Cohort Study (SEATrans), the first transgender cohort study in our region!

In anticipation of the participant enrolment happening soon, our friends from the Institute of HIV Research & Innovation (IHRI) in Bangkok conducted a site initiation training to the site staff of Victoria by LoveYourself.

This is a big step towards a better, more inclusive, and more accessible transgender health service delivery nationwide.

In the pursuit of empowering and creating safe spaces for younger generations, TRANScend by LoveYourself facilitated a Gender Sensitivity Orientation to the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Bangkulasi Senior High School in Navotas earlier today, July 23.

In anticipation of the resumption of classes next week, the faculty and staff of Bangkulasi Senior High School shared how they will apply their learnings from the discussion into their classrooms. Through this, we can mitigate unintentional biases from the faculty that may affect a student’s academic performance. This is a step forward into creating more inclusive environments where all students feel respected and valued regardless of their gender identity or expression.

With its aim to discuss updates on s*xual health, the Rizal Medical Center Department of Dermatology held their 3rd Post-Graduate Course entitled Let’s Talk About S.E.X.: Sexual Health Education with Experts today, June 20 at Marco Polo Ortigas.

The conference was attended by doctors in different fields and advocates, including representatives from Transcend by LoveYourself, Lily and Victoria by LoveYourself. The team setup a booth and provided free condoms, l***s, and SelfCare kits to the attendees.

During the event, Doc Migs, LoveYourself’s Chief of Medicine, tackled empowerment of the medical community, which aims that with this knowledge and sensitivity towards transgender health issues, it will not only improve healthcare outcomes but also foster a more inclusive and supportive healthcare environment for the entire community. A panel discussion followed the talk, and joining Doc Migs in the panel is Ms. Janlee Dungca, LoveYourself’s Head of PR, who inspired everyone on her empowering journey towards being at peace with her s*xuality.

After their speaking engagement at Northern Luzon Pride last Saturday, Kyra Isabelle Antonio (founder of iTRAguyod and Benguet’s Provincial Coordinator for the Cordillera Pride Community) and Zoe Black (reigning Mx. LoveYourself Universe 2023) visited and volunteered at Balay Marvi by LoveYourself

In celebration of the month-long Pride Festival in the region, Balay Marvi by LoveYourself will be participating in the Pride Parade on June 22 and Pride Prom on June 29 where they will provide free and confidential HIV testing, condoms, and l***s.

As Pride Month has begun, the Northern Luzon Pride (a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion for the LGBTQIA+ community in their region) invited Transcend by LoveYourself in their month-long Pride Festival celebration in Baguio City.

Transcend’s Program Officer, Zoe Black, joins the panel for one of the main events, TransTalkan 2.0: I Have a QUEERy, which highlights the necessary information about q***r health, including gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT). This was held last June 8 at Ili Likha Artist’s Wateringhole, Assumption Road, Baguio.

Zoe Black discussed that safe gender-affirmative care can be a life-saving procedure for many trans individuals who experience gender incongruence/dysphoria. Also joining her in the panel is Ms. Kyra Isabelle Antonio, founder of iTRAguyod and Benguet’s Provincial Coordinator of Cordillera Pride Community. Together they stand firm on the importance of gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) and the risks that self-medication may cause.

As part of the Pride Month, the Cordillera Pride Community Officers took oath today, promoting and celebrating diversity and strength with aims to foster a more inclusive and equitable society.

This is in honor of the LGBTQIA+ community and their contributions in the society.

The induction of officers was led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong during the Monday flag raising ceremony of Baguio City.
