Members of Southeast Asian federations convened on the first night of the ISU Congress 2024, initiating discussions on the forthcoming SEA Games in 2025, 2027, & 2029. With a platform to exchange diverse perspectives, address challenges, and align goals, the meeting sets the stage for collective success in future cycles.

Our skating community's growth can be traced to the people not often seen under the spotlight. They do not wear flashy costumes and are not usually seen doing trendy dance moves on social media. But they're always present and are responsibile for developing young hopefuls into great athletes and performers that we watch on that white sheet of perfection that we all call home. Part two of the Coaches Development Seminar was recently held at Mall of Asia with a great turn out from our coaching staff eager to learn from our facilitator: Mr Marc Dagenais - master coach developer by the Coaching Association of Canada and co-founder of Adrenaline Solutions, a global sports development for sports organizations.

The seminar focused on advanced strategies for guiding athletes to peak performance including mental preparation and long term athlete development.

The ISU Synchronized Skating Development Seminar kicks off today with the goal of planting new Synchro Teams in the South East Asian region. This is a golden opportunity for skaters & coaches to gain new knowledge on a genre of figure skating that is untapped, especially in the Philippines where singles skating remains the most prominent category.

Our small team of 5 undergoes training with the guidance of the moderators: Andrea Gilardi of Hot Shivers, Laurie Desilets of Les Supremes, Fitness Coach Ed and Dance Coach Pear alongside Philippe Matriot - Chair of Synchronized Skating Technical Committee.

This looks to be a very fruitful weekend of skating! ⛸️
