We are known for our story telling skills. This is what sets us apart from other video studio wanna-bes. How I loved his work. I got it as a gift from a cousin.
I am not very good with drawing, with painting, or with writing. So that even writing the content of my About page is a challenge. But I have always loved art and I remember when I was a young boy, I have always been mesmerised with the pictures I see in encyclopaedias, in magazines, and in books. Every time I could get my hands on one, my first instinct was to flip through the pages and check the
pictures before actually checking what the material was all about. In college, I would frequently drop by the Art Club’s bulletin board to check the new posts of its members. And yes, I also tried to join the group, but my work didn’t get past the application stage. I also remember, having a classmate from high school who was so gifted with drawing, he drew his family’s portrait with charcoal on paper. Photography gave me the chance to express my artistic side in print. But unlike most photography masters, I was a late bloomer. I never owned a camera until I was 25 years old. I also did not have any formal training in photography. I joined a workshop once, but other than that my knowledge with photography is all experiential. This makes my technique very personal to me. Some may not find it as appealing as I do. So I thank all the clients who believed in me. But I thank the most of all my critics as they helped me improve my output over time. I am also not very good with Photoshop, as you can see with my very straight forward and photo journalistic style. Every time I click the shutter, I do my best to capture the moment like how I see it in my mind. In terms of gear, I am biased with Canon, not that I think other brands are inferior, it is just a personal choice and taste. I started with crop sensor cameras; I started with Canon’s 350D, then gradually moved towards more advance units like the 40D, 60D, and 7D. Now I prefer to use full frame units like the 6D and the 5D Mark III matched with Canon’s L and Sigma’s Art series. Overtime, and with the help of some friends, I have started to expand my output to include videography. My style in this genre is very raw and candid. Somewhat like my photography, my video team is there capture the emotion, the drama, and the event as it happens. I am Mark Philip C. Comandante. My friends call me Mack. I am from Cagayan de Oro City and earned my BS Accountancy degree from Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan. I am now based in Manila with corporate exposures in Sales and Supply Chain. My love for photography and collaboration with other artists helped establish Mark Philip Photography and Mark Philip Video with focus but not limited to engagement and wedding photography and videography. I am Mark Philip. I am a photographer. Thank you for your time and for checking my work. Best regards,
Mack
