EG Manila held this year's first cultural event at Sip and Gogh, where our employees unleashed their inner artists while enjoying some well-deserved wine. Congratulations to the winners of our mini contest: April for the most creative, Karen for the best painting, and Alfred for the worst painting (don't worry, Alfred, we still love it!)

A healthy team is a happy team! EG's dedication to employee well-being is evident in the little things, like providing complimentary flu vaccinations last month and distributing a weekly supply of free fruits.

The Manila office had the privilege of hosting Adrian and Trish from our Sydney team. Their visit was dedicated to conducting in-depth catch-up sessions with each of our Manila teams.

Last month, we gathered to better get to know the people and pets dear to our employees. It was filled with smiles, laughter, and wagging tails!

Kandy and Alice, the accounting wizards from our Sydney office, had an incredible experience working hand-in-hand with their Manila colleagues!

A memorable day at Phillip's Sanctuary as EG's 2nd cultural event unfolded! Team Tagak and Team Uwak showcased their skills, tenacity, and spirit in a series of thrilling activities. Laughter echoed through the grounds as both teams enjoyed every moment of the friendly rivalry. Kudos to Team Tagak for soaring to victory!

Our Father's Day event last Wednesday was a true celebration of EG dads as the superheroes they embody every day! EG acknowledges and honors their extraordinary powers of love, sacrifice, and resilience, both at work and at home.

We're thrilled to recap our last month's EGs and Lots of Bacon session, featuring speaker Minda! Minda talked about the Ripple Effect and how every action we take can have consequences that go beyond what we can see right away.

Just when we thought our workdays couldn't get any more exciting, EG decided to take us on a mind-blowing cultural adventure! We kicked off our year's first cultural event by attending Ang Huling El Bimbo Musical Play, and it was an absolute rollercoaster ride from start to finish!

Mom, the original superhuman: able to juggle multiple tasks, tame wild toddlers, and still have time for a cup of coffee!

EG elevated its Mother's Day celebration by gifting EG moms with beautiful glass portraits of their families! It surely was a fun and unique way to celebrate these amazing women.

Starting 2023 by expanding our photo wall in the office. Added photos of new team members and events from last year's cultural events.

Ending 2022 by having our annual party with the kids of Saint Martin de Porres Center Inc.. This year, our CEO, Adam Geha, and Chairman, Michael Easson, brought along a few Sydney team members to spread the holiday cheer.

EG Manila enjoys hosting visitors from various offices. A few weeks ago, Callum and Alex from Reveal NZ travelled to Manila for the first time. They spent a couple of days conducting workshops and getting to know their growing team in Manila.

Reveal is one of the portfolio companies under EGX, our technology incubator arm.

This year’s Halloween theme was Pinoy Fiesta! Amazing effort from the team in their custom costumes and in decorating the workspace. We were also thrilled to have been able to celebrate with the kids of EG and to have them trick or treat in the office.

EG celebrated World Mental Health Day at the office by designing shirts with inspiring words and messages. We also set up a freedom wall and urged the team to leave encouraging notes to each other. Just small gestures that remind all of us to be kind!

We’re always looking forward to see what new interests the team will pick up when they take part in EG’s Hobby Program. This year, we’ve got team members doing baking, pottery, and photography just to name a few.

During his recent trip in Manila, our CEO, Adam, talks about both ambition and kindness as fundamental elements of EG culture.

"We want to be the best. And we want to do it by lifting people up. There's no other way to be a leader."

The team recently visited the historical district of Intramuros. Joining the famous bike tours, we hopped on bamboo bikes and explored the ancient citadel and its iconic landmarks.

Our long time charity partner, Saint Martin de Porres Center Inc.’s chairman, Ms. Henrietta Reverente, and president, Ms. Elizabeth Sage, visited the office to update us on the foundation’s new programs for their community. The team is always excited to learn more about how we can volunteer and contribute to the organization.

Our CEO, Adam Geha, finally visits the Manila office for the first time in over two years. He’s spending his time reconnecting with the team; catching up with team members he hasn’t seen in a while and meeting new ones who joined us recently.

In 2014, our software development team started out with two team members. Now we have almost 40 team members working across several agile squads under EGX, our technology incubator arm aimed at building the future of proptech. With plans to double in size in the next 2 years, EGX has already engaged three high profile companies from Australia and New Zealand.

A lot of the team members started cycling recently so we formed an EG Cycling Club! What better way to stay healthy and active than to get out on the road with friends.

With the lowered alert levels in Manila, we hosted a luncheon for the team at the office. For most of the team members, it was their first time to visit the workplace and to meet their colleagues in person. Great to finally be able to spend time with each other face to face!

With the worrying number of COVID cases recently, EG sent the team home care kits. We're hoping these packages will help everyone be more prepared during these trying times.
