Youth Apostolate of Fatima - Subangdaku Chapter

HALLOWEEN | During the Culmination of the Month of the Rosary and the Parade of Saints, we asked our two members why it’s better to portray or dress up as saints during Halloween.

Jhonlee Mark Alconera said, “For me siguro gyud no nganong mas better kung santos ang atong i portray during Halloween kay tungod daghan silag kapupulutan ng aral sa ilang kinabuhi.” He emphasized that when we hear the word Halloween or when November comes, we often think of it as spooky and scary, but we should change that narrative. November 1 and 2 are celebrations of the saints who lived according to God's will and a time to remember our loved ones who have passed away.

Czianah Velarde also said, “Nindot gyud nato himoong modelo ang mga saints kay if ganahan ta masantos ta, ato sila sundon ug ato pud sila i portray during Halloween kay na man silay nindot nga gibuhat diri sa kalibutan.” Czianah also won 2nd place during the Parade of Saints.

The message highlights that Halloween should focus on honoring saints and learning from their lives.

AVE MARIA! | The PYCC - Subangdaku successfully organized the Parade of Saints and the Culmination of the Rosary Month.

The word "hallow" means holy, and as we celebrate Halloween, various zones and mandated organizations join the parade of saints, with their representatives portraying saints who have fulfilled God's will with holiness.

Congratulations to Czianah Velarde for winning 2nd place in the Parade of Saints as St. Margaret of Scotland!

Pope Francis appointed Cebu Auxiliary Bishop Ruben Labajo as the First Bishop of the new Diocese of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

To our former Archdiocesan Spiritual Director in YAF-Cebu Archdiocesan Division, thank you for inspiring us, youth, to stay humble in service to Our Lord through Our Blessed Mother, Mary. May the Lord continue to blessed you and guide you in your new assignment.

JUST IN | Pope Francis Appoints Cebu Auxiliary Bishop Ruben Labajo as the First Bishop of the new Diocese of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The announcement was made in the Vatican’s noon bulletin on Tuesday, corresponding to 6 PM local time in the Philippines.

VIVA MARIA | The Youth Apostolate of Fatima-Subangdaku Chapter served as the choir today at the Capelinha de Fatima Replica, celebrating the feast day of the final apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.

After the Mass, we had a small celebration to give thanks and enjoy the day together.

Thank you, Mama Mary, for the blessings you’ve given us. This day reminds us to offer sacrifices and prayers for sinners, as so few do it for them.

YOUTH EUCHARISTIC ADORATION | The Youth Apostolate of Fatima - Archdiocese of Cebu, together with different youth organizations, gathered for YEA 2024, themed Global Harmony through the Eucharistic Presence.

The Eucharist is the summit of the message of Our Lady of Fatima. We offer sacrifices to our Lord, who sacrificed His life for us, as a way to seek forgiveness, peace, and unity through His presence in the Eucharist.

We would like to thank a GENEROUS PERSON for his support and love offering to Mama Mary by gifting us the new image of Our Lady of Fatima, lights, the speaker and microphone, and the restoration of the Carossa to be used in the First Saturday Dawn Procession. May Mama Mary continue to bless you and your family.
