Congratulations to Coach Jefferson L. Codera, Jr. for receiving the Orlando C. Sanchez Award or the "ORLACSAN AWARD" for his Charitable Basketball Programs in Cebu. The award was given in the highly anticipated 38th Sportswriters Association of Cebu-San Miguel Beer (SAC-SMB) Sports Awards.

The ORLACSAN Award is named after Orlando C. Sanchez, a legendary sportswriter and editor. It was conceptualized to honor individuals who have done exemplary works and shown selfless dedication in their chosen sport. The first ever ORLACSAN Award was given in 1996.

Sunsport Basketball to hold two training camps in Cebu City this June Fueled by its ardent desire to help sharpen the skills of young aspiring ballers, Sunsport Basketball is setting up two training camps in separate venues in Cebu City this June.

Veteran coach and trainer joins Yogi’s “Sports for All” advocacy.

Giovanni “Jojo” Romarate Teves will help out in teaching the young aspiring ballers across the 80 barangays of Cebu City about the fundamentals of the sport in this noble project spearheaded by Ruiz, the first Cebuano commissioner of the Bureau of Customs and former regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7 who has already made known his intent to run for mayor in next year’s elections.

For three decades now, Teves has been transforming raw talents into hardcourt gems as training director of Sunsport Basketball Training Camp since 1994.
