This all started exactly a year ago when I posted the very first chapter of Meatan Vampire Association on Webtoon. Writing a comic series was one of the challenges I have listed on my bucket list, and to be honest, there were lots of struggles from writer's block, schedule conflicts, and technical difficulties. However, thanks to my ever-growing community of readers, who are always excited for the next chapter, I was able to have the drive to continue this series. I am forever indebted to the endless support given to me by my readers, and words cannot describe how much you all mean!

Although the future is still uncertain, rest assured, I promise more content from the Meatan trio, and I am planning to extend the webcomic series up to twenty chapters for the first volume (which means eight more unreleased chapters to look out for). There is also the possibility for me to explore other forms of media (maybe writing a novel, or making short animations).

I would like to thank each and every person who has accompanied Lucius, Damian, Nyx, and Irky on their Meatan journey 🧛 🖤

The bad news is there won't be any new chapters of Meatan Vampire Association for this month (August 14th). As for why, well, that's the good news!

Augus 14th will be the celebration for the one-year anniversary of Meatan Vampire Association 🦇🧛‍♂️. And I would like to thank everyone in advance for accompanying the meatan vampires on their journey ✨

For the whole week (August 14-21), there will be a release of new never-before-seen material!

Have just finished Star Wars Episodes 4 - 6 (Original Trilogy), and here are my thoughts💡:

THINGS I LOVED:
-The effects are spectacular ✨👀, and hold up really well! (Practical effects >>> CGI)
-Worldbuilding is awesome! Each new planet 🪐🌍 feels like a breath of fresh air. Different alien flora and fauna makes me more engaged in the story. Bonus points in Jabba's palace where even the background characters are unique and eyecatching
-Soundtrack is phenomenal. Credits to John Williams 🎶🎵
-I love Luke's character development from a farmer to a Jedi knight. Classic hero's journey 🤺
-Darth Vader is an intimidating villain and a perfect foil to Luke. His redemption was earned despite occurring quickly 🖤
-Emperor is amazing as the final big bad. I loved the final battle in his throne room with the ominous lighting only colored by the green and red lightsabers. His lightning powers are also OP ⚡
-Chewbacca is best boi 🤎
-The other supporting characters are really iconic. Princess Leia, Han Solo, Lando, Obi-Wan, and the droids form a memorable ensemble. Each of their personalities, arcs, and character designs is memorable 💖
-R2-D2 saving everyone is a running gag I love 👌
-My favorite setting has to be Cloud City. It is the most aesthetically pleasing place from the original trilogy. The sunset looks gorgeous, and the white futuristic buildings give life to the place 🌅

- Thoughts on a New Hope: I loved how the characters are introduced slowly but surely, giving each one proper characrerizations and moments to shine. First, we follow the two droids, then we met Luke. And they encounter Obi-Wan who became Luke's mentor. And then, they get a ride from Han and Chewbacca to rescue Leia. This is a good way to write a character ensemble with many characters without confusing the audience. The Death Star escape sequence was really fun, and the final trench run gives me goosebumps.

-Thoughts on Empire Strikes Back: This is the quiantenessial better-sequel. I loved the Battle at Hoth, the asteroid sequence, and the Cloud City sequence. Training with Yoda was not only physical training, it was philosophical too. I love it when movies incorporate religious/philosophical themes in their plot. The ending plot twist was spoiled to me by the internet before, but it was still memorable. The ending cliffhanger got me excited for ROTJ, and I could only imagine what it was like for the audiences back in 1980.

-Thoughts on Return of the Jedi: The entire rescue mission at Jabba's Palace was really fun to watch, culminating in a giant fight with Leia killing Jabba as a cherry on top (literal slay). The Ewoks were deceptively adorable, but their concept is really dark (Note: they almost ate the heroes 😭, and Im guessing from the helmets at the ending, they ate the stormtroopers). The entirety of the Battle at Endor is one of the best finales I've ever encountered in movies.

THINGS I HATED:
-Why did Leia kiss Luke? 🤮🤢 (gross...)
-Why make a second Death Star? If the first one was blown up (and I bet it cost lots of resources and personnel), then it would be an even bigger waste to make a second one.

RANDOM TRIVIA:
-Apparently, Mark Hamill (the actor who plays Luke) also voiced Firelord Ozai from A:TLA, and Joker in Batman

OVERALL RATING: 9.5 / 10
