Enjoy while you are young! This event is once in a lifetime! Opportunity knocks at once! These are the inviting and alluring words that the devil used and abused to let us come with the temptation of sin. One time a friend of mine invited me to a party, and I was surprised that many young people were there. Expectedly there was a party of wine and music. These young people got so drunk because of the reason that this birthday happens once a year or this birthday will not go back after. But what happened, some of them vomited, and the sad story is that some of them got pregnant and did not continue their studies. They enjoy an hour but long-term suffering after. The word unwind, and unload was not present in the life of Jesus. He faces the suffering with no excuses, no advertising, cut, and break, instead with the embrace of obedience and love. We are also called to endure sufferings to discipline ourselves and keep far from sins. It is not for God but for our souls. God does not make suffering; it is the effects of our sins. A cause of sins and effect to sufferings. God does not want us to suffer, but we create our sufferings. Like a teacher who doesn't want to fail the students, but the students do not study well, which makes them fail.

In the story of Adam and Eve, how does evil tempt them? By offering good things without considering the warnings made by the creator. He warned them for guidance, not because He was selfish, but it is for love. Some rumors question the story of creation and why God created that forbidden tree to become the reason Adam and Eve committed mistakes. Also, Judas was offered by the Devil for the joy of money which made him sell Jesus. God gave us freedom as part of His love. Even in Job's life, He also allows the devil to pe*****te, but Job remains in God. When Judas was pe*****ted by the devil, did he remain in Jesus? He betrayed Jesus. The offer was so beautiful, but the consequences after were hell.

Today is Holy Thursday! We are reminded that life is short, not only to be happy but to be Holy. The world offers short-term happiness, but God offers us everlasting happiness that the world cannot offer. Let us be one in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Accept the Lord's offer!

HAVE A HOLY AND HAPPY DAY TO ALL...

Chief, Interfaith Services

"Holy Thursday: A Time of Mourning and Reflection"

We recall the poignant moment when Jesus shared his last supper with his disciples before his eventual crucifixion. It is a solemn time for us to reflect on the selfless sacrifice that Jesus made for humanity. However, this day is not solely one of mourning, for it is also a day of hope. We are reminded that through his death and resurrection, we are offered a new life and the promise of everlasting salvation.

"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.'" - Luke 22:19 (NIV)

Holy Thursday is also known as Maundy Thursday, which comes from the Latin word "mandatum," meaning "commandment." It refers to Jesus' commandment to his disciples to love one another as he had loved them.

Let us use this opportunity to contemplate the boundless love and grace that Jesus has bestowed upon us, and let us make a conscious effort to emulate his example of loving one another as he has loved us.

As we reflect on the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus, let us remember His great love for us and His sacrifice on the cross. May this day be a reminder of the power of forgiveness and redemption.

"Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, โ€œWhat will you give me if I betray him to you?โ€ And they paid him thirty pieces of silver." - Matthew 26:14-15

Holy Wednesday is also known as Spy Wednesday because it was the day when Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus to the authorities.

On this Holy Wednesday, let us examine our own hearts and ask ourselves if we are truly following Jesus or if we are betraying Him in any way. Let us strive to live a life that honors Him and shares His love with others. May we also remember to pray for those who have betrayed us and to forgive them, just as Jesus forgave Judas.

Furthermore, He prophesied that when He died, His disciples would abandon Him, saying, 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.' He also foretold His resurrection, stating that 'after I have risen, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.' As we observe Holy Tuesday, let us reflect on Jesus' teachings of love, forgiveness, and humility. During Holy Week, let us endeavor to emulate His example by showing compassion to others and living with humility and grace. May you all have a wonderful and peaceful day.

Holy Tuesday marks Christ's return to Jerusalem from Bethany, which should not be confused with His triumphant return to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday after enduring the trials in the desert.

After Palm Sunday, Jesus went to Bethany, and on Tuesday, He returned to Jerusalem before heading to the Mount of Olives."

02/04/2023

As we commence the solemn observance of Holy Week 2023, we reflect with deep reverence on the significance of Holy Monday. Today, we commemorate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, recognizing the ultimate path He would take, leading to His sacrifice on the cross.

Let us remember the words of Prophet Isaiah in Chapter 53:5: "But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed."

" Holy Monday is the day after Jesus was greeted with palm leaves and the day before Judas decided to betray him"

This Lenten season, let us reflect on the great sacrifice Jesus made for us and the love God has for His children.

Come and Follow me! We become who we follow. In following Jesus to the Calvary, we become Holy. Reflecting on the life of Jesus, we inspire to follow Him because of His unconditional love. As we gather, we share our effort to place Him in singing, praying, and walking from one campus to another campus, one building to another building, one Department to another department, and one College to another. We become connected because of His connection to us through love on the cross, the way of the cross.

IN PHOTOS! The Ministry celebrates the way of the Cross on Campus of the Archdiocese of Manila in cooperation with EARIST Interfaith Services and E. Rodriguez Vocational High School empowered by Sta. Elena Mission Chapel, Nagtahan.

We want to thank you for participating in our celebration of the Passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May the good Lord will resurrect you on your cross. See you next Friday same time, 10:00 am and the venue
