Nice to see you again, batchmates! ✨

BSPH 2024 had their first of many face-to-face classes and exams for the first semester of junior year last September 15-16, 2022.

The jitters and excitement of coming home 🏡 to Lara Hall were no match to the thrill of finally getting that lab 🧫💉 experience! Truly the feeling of face-to-face classes is surreal after 2️⃣ years of remote learning.

We hope to make more memories 📸 with our batchmates as on-site learning is slowly returning! 🫶

📸LOOK: The University of the Philippines - Manila Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) 2024 had its first limited face-to-face classes for selected laboratory courses last May 17, 19, 20 (Batch 1) and May 24, 25, 26 (Batch 2) for the 2nd Semester of A.Y. 2021-2022. 🧪🦠

Among these courses are PH 151 (Principles of Microbiology) and PH 161 (Biochemistry), which competencies require honing applied laboratory skills. The limited face-to-face classes were voluntary, in compliance with the CHED-DOH Joint Memorandum. Safety precautions and minimum public health standards were also observed in the limited interaction.

This is the first time for BSPH 2024 to officially meet their batch mates beyond the screens of their devices. Looking forward, the limited F2F classes were definitely something to remember for the batch! 💙🌻

Almost 3️⃣ weeks have passed since BSPH 2024 started their first set of majors. It still feels anew, but we're moving forward 🍃

Whether it's computing for prevalence rates 📈📉, or identifying lapses in health services 👨‍⚕️🏥💊, BSPH 2024 is ready to face the depths of biochemistry 🧬, the wonders of microbiology 🦠, and the essence of public health 🏪👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

It will not be an easy feat, no doubt. Still, we have each other's backs on this journey. And that journey starts now ✨

🌻 We are BSPH 2024! 🌻

BSPH 2024 once thought college would be just as we have come to know it – until time ran its course.

Braving through a global pandemic, multiple natural calamities, and major changes and losses of the new normal has dampened the batch’s hopes of gracing the halls of Lara. The batch’s dreams of setting foot on campus – a place they would have found home in – was put to a halt ✋🏻

However, despite all of these challenges, BSPH 2024 burns 🔥, moves ​​👣, and stands ✊🏽 with hope against all challenges and obstacles. The mission to serve and to become of service to the underserved 🤝, to give and to be capable of giving to communities ​​🫂, and to hope and to bring such hope to the Filipino 🇵🇭 continues on

In the face of adversity bringing us down, the only way to go is up – Soar, 2024! ✨
