Main signs of autism

Common signs of autism in adults include:

finding it hard to understand what others are thinking or feeling
getting very anxious about social situations
finding it hard to make friends or preferring to be on your own
seeming blunt, rude or not interested in others without meaning to
finding it hard to say how you feel
taking things very literally – for example, you may not understand sarcasm or phrases like "break a leg"
having the same routine every day and getting very anxious if it changes
Other signs of autism

You may also have other signs, like:

not understanding social "rules", such as not talking over people
avoiding eye contact
getting too close to other people, or getting very upset if someone touches or gets too close to you
noticing small details, patterns, smells or sounds that others do not
having a very keen interest in certain subjects or activities
liking to plan things carefully before doing them
Autism in women and men

Autism can sometimes be different in women and men.

For example, autistic women may be quieter, may hide their feelings and may appear to cope better with social situations.

This means it can be harder to tell you're autistic if you're a woman.

Another milestones unlocked for us .. sya na nag initiate na mag aral kami 😅 dati kse laging reremind pa .. now gustong gusto matapos na ang mga activities and dali na din nya pasunurin sa instructions lalo na pag alam nya isend kay teacher.. pasikat si Yorme (my son's nickname)... more gains to come .. slowly but surely ang peg .. nakakatuwa kse alam na di nya routine nya daily lalo sa morning .. doing this independently pati pag take ng supplements nya alam na din ang sched .. sa schooling lng naka assist si mommy teacher 😆

Before: Nakakulong sa room sarado lahat ng windows, door at makapal na curtain kung pde sound proof ang room ginawa na namin sobrang nakakaawa pag nagiiyak, natataranta at na overwhelmed sa putukan pag New Year's eve.
NOW: Nag aabang ng fireworks, nasali sa New Year's countdown, nag air horn at nakiki jamming sa buong family.

Camping with Yorme...

Medyo struggle matulog kase sobrang lamig (19 degrees) at wiwi sya ng wiwi 😅 bukod sa kuliglig sa paligid ang ingay ng ibang campers kahit naman ako di din makatulog ng maayos pero after hugging and saying "It's okay kuya, you can sleep na" ayun nakatulog naman din sya. Over all smooth naman. Worries namin baka mamasok ng ibang tent or magingay sya na makakabulahaw sa iba or totally di sya makatulog kase new environment para sa kanya. Good thing na nag-enjoy si Yorme at asking na ng next camping 😅
