Silip sa Kislap: A glimpse into the lives of the PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe trainees and members. Hazel Glori is a 22-year-old fourth year college student born and raised in the City of Manila. She is studying Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education with Specialization in Dance at the Philippine Normal University-Manila. As a culture and arts future educator, she advocates and promotes Filipino culture and values through example, and of course, through folk dance. “Mahalin at tangkilikin ang sariling atin,” is what she says. She is a 20-year-old third year college student, originally from Polillo, Quezon Province, taking up Bachelor in Physical and Health Education at Philippine Normal University-Manila. She previously has her eyes and skills set to dance hip hop - due to her background of dancing modern dance during high school. As she wanders the new path she is taking, Rimuel discovers not only numerous Philippine Folk dances and culture, but also a raging heart that loves what she does. He is currently studying at Philippine Normal University-Manila taking up Bachelor in Physical and Health Education. Performing is Rowen's biggest passion in life. He's been dancing folk dance for more than a decade now and it has created a meaningful impact in his life. His journey in folk dancing molded him to be the best version of himself; a person with discipline, dedication, and determination. He is currently studying at Philippine Normal University-Manila taking up Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education with Specialization in Dance. He graduated under a Special Program in the Arts Curriculum in Senior High School which became his inspiration and reason why he wants to teach dancing in the future. Since then, arts has been close to Ivan's heart, and that might possibly be the reason why he has found the path towards PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe.
