The PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe has been invited to the celebration of Abiva's 88th year of publishing excellence on September 27, 2024, at Lanson Place Mall of Asia in Manila.
The dance troupe opened the celebration by presenting different cultures from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in a dance production. The group is thrilled and honored to have been granted the opportunity to bring our roots' colorful, dynamic, and festive culture.

ALAP 2024 PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe's official DP frame for ALAP 2024!
The PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe was delighted to be invited to the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network 10th Anniversary with the theme "Shaping Vision into Reality" on September 17, 2024, at the Century Park Hotel.
The KSDT performed Putungan in the opening of the 10th Anniversary Celebration and Dinner and Welcoming of the ASTEN International Members. Following that, the KSDT later on showcased Cordillera dances, Tachok, and Ragragsakan. As well as Rural dances, Regatones, and Tinikling.
The group would like to thank the ASTEN for this opportunity, as the group is truly delighted to perform dances that showcase Filipino culture. May each performance serve as an inspiration to further appreciate our culture and give importance to preserving it.

The PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe was invited at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Quezon City to perform a Rural Suite during the welcome dinner attended by international participants of the International Conference on Open Innovation in the Public Sector hosted by Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) last August 28, 2024.
KSDT performed a joyous suite of rural dances including Lapay Bantigue, Binasuan, and Tinikling, where some distinguished attendees had tried to dance as well during the 'learn to dance' segment. The organization was elated as another opportunity has been given not just to provide entertainment but also to showcase the Filipino culture through folk dance. May this serve as an inspiration for us to continuously strive in enriching our identity as Filipinos.
The organization would like to extend its gratitude and success to the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) for this opportunity.

Pinaaabot ng PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe ang mainit na pagbati at pagkilala sa mga nagsipagtapos sa ika-116 na Seremonya ng Pagtatapos na ginanap noong ika-23 ng Agosto 2024 sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Plenary Hall na may temang "Responding to the current education challenges through relevant and future ready", isang patunay sa inyong katatagan at kakayahang umangkop sa nagbabagong landas ng edukasyon.
Habang kayo ay patungo sa bagong mundong inyong haharapin, alalahanin ang apoy ng sining at pambansang pagkakakilanlan na nagningning sa loob ng PNU. Ito ang magpapatnubay sa inyong lakad magpakailanman. Hinihimok namin kayo na manatiling tapat sa inyong pagsuporta sa sining, kabataan, at bayan. Ang inyong mga tagumpay ay hindi lamang patunay ng inyong masigasig na pagsisikap, kundi maging pagpapakita ng walang hanggan at matatag na pamana ng aming mahal na pamantasan.

As rooted to the organization's advocacy to advance, nurture, and safeguard the Philippine culture and tradition through folk dance, the PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe is opening its doors for aspiring folk dancers to join and be one of us.
The audition will be held on August 24 and August 31 (Saturday) at 9:00 AM onwards that will be conducted at Dance Hall beside Gym.
Qualifications :
โ๏ธ1st-year to 3rd-year student of PNU-Manila;
โ๏ธhave passion for dancing; and
โ๏ธeager to learn Philippine culture through folk dance
Please wear white shirt, any comfortable shorts/leggings, and rubber shoes as your audition attire. Also, please bring your own tumbler, extra shirt, and handkerchief for you to use during the auditions.

On August 9, 2024, the Kislap Sining Dance Troupe gathered for their Turnover Ceremony, celebrating the theme โSaulog at Sulong: Pagsasaya at Pagkilala sa Umpisa at Pasimula.โ This momentous event highlighted the joyous continuity of tradition and the anticipation of new beginnings. The ceremony was a heartfelt tribute to the outgoing members and a warm welcome to the new generation of dancers ready to accept the new challenges. Special recognition was given to Professor Richard Urgelles, the troupe's dedicated adviser, and Sir Romeo Rioflorido, the visionary director of CSCAD, for their unwavering guidance and leadership.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of the acronyms for KSDTโโKeep Searching for the Dreams to Come Trueโ and โKeep Shining, Dancers Together.โ These inspiring mantras encapsulate the spirit and ambition of the troupe as they move forward, unified and determined to achieve greater heights. As the key was passed to the next generation of dancers, the spirit of Kislap Sining shone brightly, promising an even more vibrant and dynamic future ahead.

Naimbitahan ang PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe na magtanghal sa Xavier School noong ika-9 ng Agosto 2024 sa San Juan, Metro Manila para sa selebrasyon ng Buwan ng Wika at Kultura.
Malugod na ipinamalas ng grupo ang iba't ibang sayaw ng Pilipinas tulad ng Ragragsakan, Pindulas, at Tinikling upang ipakita sa mga mag-aaral at paaralan ang kultural na sayaw ng mga Pilipino.
Nagagalak ang PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe sa pagkakataon na maipakita ang talento at husay ng mga mag-aaral mula sa Pamantasan at ang mayamang kultura ng Pilipinas sa mga mag-aaral ng Xavier School.
Patuloy ang panawagan ng grupo sa pagtataguyod, paglilinang, at pangangalaga ng ating kultura at tradisyon gamit ang pagsasayaw.

As one of the Philippine Normal University's organizations, the PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe Participated in the annual Outcome-Based Co-curricular Program (OBCoP) last August 06 & 07, 2024 held on Geronima T. Pecson Main Auditorium.
This two-day workshop consisted of different seminars and activities intended for student-leaders to have a solid foundation on planning and implementing different student activities inside and outside of the university. This year's OBCoP promotes collaboration among organizations and sustainability of student activities.

The PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe was invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the Philippines and Singapore Friendship Week with the theme โEngaging the Stakeholders with a Sense of Commitment and Genuine Partnership,โ held last July 18โ19, 2024, in Mandaluyong City.
PNU KSDT performed a short rural suite consisting of Maglalatik, Binasuan, Lapay Bantigue, and Tinikling to set a radiating energy of fun and enthusiasm among the attendees of the said event through folk dance. The weeklong celebration features career opportunities, educational seminars, and stories of dedication of OFWs in Singapore, the same way the PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe perseveres to safeguard and advance the culture and identity of Filipinos through dance.
We wish for the success of the weeklong celebration of the Philippines-Singapore Friendship Week.
The PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe was delighted to participate as performers for the National Capital Region at the SUC FAIR 2024 with the theme "Weaving Culture and Innovations for a Transformative, Resilient, and Globally Recognized Philippine Higher Education," held by the Commission on Higher Education in partnership with West Mindanao State University at KCC Mall De Zamboanga on July 9โ11, 2024.
The group performed a Western Suite consisting of Sevillana Con Baston, Manton De Manila, and the Jota De Manila, all to celebrate and showcase the rich culture and pride of Manila through folk dance. The PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe was also joined by other folkloric groups from other parts of Luzon during the third day of the SUC Fair for the cultural show to close the program.
This was only one of numerous events in which the PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe had shown their talent and passion for folk dance. May we continue to strike through time and proudly tell our rich culture and story through dance. โจ
Selected dance scholars from the Institute of Creative Expressions and Human Movement Education (ICEHME) of Philippine Normal University proudly joined the 42nd National Folk Dance Workshop held on June 24-28, 2024, at the City Sports Complex of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, spearheaded by the Philippine Folk Dance Society with CCP, NCCA, and the Tourism Office of CSJDM.
Dance scholars of Bachelor in Physical and Health Education (BPHEd), namely Arnold James Argote and Diana Mae Aricayos, and Bachelor in Culture and Arts Education (BCAEd), namely John Matt Ivan Francia and Melissa Manuel, participated in the annual workshop, where they spent a week learning numerous folk dances taught by various known dance masters in the Philippines and executing them together with other delegates from other folkloric groups and folk dance enthusiasts all over the country.
Every year, the National Folk Dance Workshop strives to foster knowledge, skills, understanding, and appreciation for folk and traditional dances, serving as a bridge between the cultures and people of the Philippines and Asia. Hence, it was an honor to be a part of this advocacy to further advance our culture through dance.

His dedication and passion being a creative and communication industry practitioner led him to achieve various recognitions such as being recognized as one of the Top 300 Most Influential Filipinos in the Gulf in the year 2020 by Illustrado Magazine under the Thought Leaders Category.
