UE head coach Jack Santiago says the Red Warriors will enter their critical game against Adamson today with the intention to win in honor of President Zosimo Battad & to give the graduating Abdul Sawat a proper send-off. Santiago also plans to give extended minutes today to his players who haven't played much this season to gain experience before next season. A UE win means Ateneo is in the Final 4. An Adamson win means there will be a knockout for the last F4 spot.

After UE's loss to Ateneo today, Coach Jack Santiago shared his thoughts on the decision to suspend Precious Momowei - and also mentioned how his penalty was lighter than the one UP's Malick Diouf previously received:

"We all know naging problema natin – not only sa issue ni Coach Nash – but yung issue kay Momowei, na we got the suspension letter late afternoon yesterday.

When our president learned about that, nag-request ata siya this morning ng emergency meeting with the UAAP Board. We submitted video clips – not only kay Momowei – but also ibang video clips ng other games na for us, hindi naman ganon kabigat ung naging violation ni Momowei during the last game against La Salle.

We showed them the video na may contact, foul talaga, but to give him a mabigat na penalty na mag co-cost ng suspension and not only that, unfair din sa bata kasi he’s leading the ROY [race]. Nakita naman natin sa video na he was reaching for the ball. It so happened nangyayari talaga yun.

May mga instances naman with Diouf na talagang naka close fist siya with the NU game pero hindi ganon kabigat naging penalty niya. In fact kung tama yung memory ko, ang NU nag re-request ng dapat mas mabigat na [penalty].

Nagkaroon ata ng meeting this morning and kumbaga yung request ng President to deepen the penalty nap ag aralan natin muna, na turn down, and then I heard nag resign siya as president ng UAAP Board. Something na ganon.

When the players learned about that sa pre-game talk namin sa dugout, all of a sudden nakita no nalang yung players na they’re putting the tape…

We support the decision of the school president and maybe I just want to take this opportunity to thank the school community for not giving up para sa mga bata. Talagang unfair doon sa mga bata. Alam namin yung hard work ng bata. But of course at the end of the day, we still have a committee nag mag de-decide. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for us."

SCENARIOS: Ateneo-Adamson-UE battle for last Final Four spot far from over Blue Eagles still not a lock for a Final Four spot; and can't count out those Red Warriors

It has come to our attention this morning that our earlier post regarding the demolition of the CCSS building will not happen anytime soon, instead, will be utilized for other purposes due to planned retrofitting of the POD-CIT building. We were informed that CCSS building will be used by the graduate school while the POD-CIT is undergoing renovation. We have corrected our post 7 hours earlier by updating the post and commenting the update prior to the news release of UE Dawn.

Our FB page do not intend to release false news and our post did not came out of nowhere. The earlier post stating that the old CCSS building will be demolished was based on the master plan posted by PGAA Creatives a year ago, showing that the UE master plan will involve introduction of green spaces, outdoor relaxation, and recreation areas.

In the master plan, it was shown that the old CCSS building has been inexistence and was replaced by an outdoor volleyball court surrounded by few greeneries in the area. With what has been shown in the master plan, we assume that the building will be demolished as soon as the building is vacated.

We have no intention to propagate false news. PGAA Creative Designs is a well known design and architecture company in the industry, hence, we believed in what has been posted on its website.

The mistake we have committed is the fact that plans could have changes anytime soon, or as the need arise. In that instance, our lapses occured for failing to check on the latest plans of university management regarding the old building.

We love UE. Rest assured that we are always considering the best interest of our school and community in all of our activities. We are promoting UE with all of our time and resources without any return or consideration in mind. That may also be the reason why we have posted about the demolition, because we have been longing for an upgrade, to instill in the minds of the community that we are at par with the neighboring universities, or if not, soon we are moving to that direction.

We regret that we have created confusion. Our apology to all.
