The DLSU Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVRCOB), through the Department of Accountancy, is actively developing a proposal to introduce a Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting with Business Analytics.

This program is tailored for DLSU Senior High School Grades 11 and 12 students pursuing academic tracks (ABM, HUMSS, and STEM) and 1st and 2nd year students in the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) program.

Dr. Prasart Jongjaroenkamol joined the School of Accountancy, Singapore Management University as an Assistant Professor of Accounting in 2017. Prior to joining SMU SoA, he received his PhD in Accounting from the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include studying the interactions between accounting information, managerial incentives, contracting, and corporate governance. His teaching interests are managerial accounting and financial accounting. Before commencing his PhD study, Prasart was an audit assistant at KPMG in Bangkok and an accounting lecturer at Thammasat University.

🌿📊 On Nov 6, 2023, the DLSU Department of Accountancy, in collaboration with DLSU-JPIA, organized the impactful DLSU Sustainability Reporting Forum at The Verdure, 4th floor Henry Sy Sr. Hall. The event spotlighted DLSU’s Sustainability Practices and the emerging trend of Sustainability Reporting in the business landscape.

Exciting news for future CPAs and other DLSU Students! The event launched a new minor program for Sustainability Reporting, effective Term 2 AY 2023-2024, providing fresh opportunities for aspiring accountants in this crucial domain.

Mr. Benjamin N. Villacorte, Jr., Chair of the Philippine Sustainability Reporting Standards Committee, delivered a compelling keynote, shedding light on the essential skills and opportunities for Sustainable Reporting Auditors.

Dr. Arnel Onesimo Uy, our Department Chair, unveiled the groundbreaking Minor in Sustainability Reporting. This innovative program is designed to equip students with updated competencies, aligning with contemporary demands.

Last night, the Testimonial Dinner for New Lasallian CPAs was a grand celebration of success held at the elegant Century Park Hotel in Manila. 🌟🎉

The event united the accomplished October 2023 Lasallian LECPA Passers, esteemed Department Heads, dedicated Faculty Members, and notable guests, including DLSU President Br. Bernard S. Oca, FSC, and the esteemed RVR-COB Associate Dean, Dr. Cynthia P. Cudia, as well as representatives from leading auditing firms in the Philippines. 👏

The evening commenced with a heartfelt prayer led by Ms. Editha Trinidad, a respected Faculty Member, and was followed by an inspiring welcome from our Department Chair, Dr. Arnel Onesimo Uy. Certificates and Commemorative Pins were graciously presented to our new Lasallian CPAs under the guidance of the RVR-COB Associate Dean and the Department Chair. The DLSU Brother President shared an uplifting message, and exciting prizes were awarded to the fortunate game winners. Our Firm Representatives conveyed inspiring and congratulatory messages, while a compelling Testimonial Speech was delivered by the former JPIA President, Ms. Rychel Anne Namol, CPA. The event concluded with a closing prayer led by Mr. Kenneth Michael De Castro, a Faculty Member.

The event was masterfully hosted by the Department Vice Chair, Dr. Joy Rabo, and Ms. Editha Trinidad.

Licensure Examination For September 2023 Certified Public Accountants Results Released In Four (4) Working Days

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 2,740 out of 8,734 passed the Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants given by the Board of Accountancy in N. C. R., Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last September 2023.

The members of the Board of Accountancy who gave the licensure examination are Noe G. Quiñanola, Chairman; Samuel B. Padilla, Vice Chairman; Gloria T. Baysa,Thelma S. Ciudadano, Gervacio I. Piator and Maria Teresita Z. Dimaculangan, Members.

On November 28 - 29, December 1 and December 4 - 7, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
