What we love about collaborating with the Rockwell Group is that themed events constantly challenge us to think of creative activities for their growing family. This Halloween, we had a GAMING-themed event. We thought about having the children build and color their own arcade coin bank to encourage saving and having an EMOJI bracelet activity, so they can express how they feel through their DIY accessory!

Better late than never! In the following days, we shall share some of our past year's activities. First, we spent the Holiday season at the Powerplant mall with a series of Christmas workshops. Then, we kicked off the season by painting our plaster ornaments for the trees being put up by our first batch of participants. Imagine how exciting it is to put up a tree and put something you made on it? That makes Christmas trees extra unique!

"It was such an amazing experience to build and paint our Gingerbread houses for our last workshop! We even put a tea light inside to imagine someone sitting by the fireplace with a warm mint hot chocolate in hand… Ahhhh Christmas! We had so much fun!"

Who would have thought a humble pinecone could be turned into such beautiful Christmas trees?! These Pine Cone Christmas trees not only look fantastic, but they also bring with them the wonderful aroma of the festive season. It's no wonder they quickly became a crowd favorite!

The kids were taught how to use their popsicle sticks to make Gingerbread house picture frame ornaments for our second Christmas workshop. What's fun about this is not only were they able to paint, but they were able to use various art materials to make a medium-mixed artwork.

Who would have thought you could make such a cute Christmas ornament just by using tea lights?! When you turn on the tea light, the "flame" becomes the snowman's carrot nose! Talk about A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!

"We had a blast making this adorable no-sew sock snowman craft - the perfect upcycled gift from the young ones! We finally had a great use for all those missing socks, and it's a great way to repurpose something old too. Who knew a few odd socks could bring so much joy?!"
