Noong mga unang araw ng pandemya noong 2021, ang komunidad ng Dingalan, Aurora, lalo na ang Barangay Umiray, ay naharap sa mga malaking hamon. Ang mga lockdown ay humadlang sa komunikasyon, kaya’t naging mahirap para sa mga estudyante at residente na manatiling konektado. Bilang tugon, ang aming koponan ay nagbigay ng internet access sa panahong ito. Kami ay mainit na tinanggap ng komunidad at nag-alok kami ng aming serbisyo bilang prepaid upang maiwasan ang karagdagang pinansyal na pasanin.
Sa simula, mayroon kaming dalawang distributor ng voucher at isang on-call na teknisyan. Gayunpaman, nagsimulang dumagsa ang mga reklamo tungkol sa overpriced na mga voucher, sa kabila ng malinaw na nakamarkang mga presyo. Hinikayat ko ang mga distributor na manatili sa itinakdang presyo dahil sila ay kumikita na ng komisyon. Upang matugunan ang mga patuloy na isyu, nagpasya akong kumuha ng bagong distributor, na ikinagalit ng orihinal na team. Nagbanta silang magre-resign kung itutuloy ko ang bagong hire, hindi matanggap na ang kanilang mga aksyon ang nagdulot ng pagbabagong ito.

In the early days of the pandemic in 2021, the community of Dingalan, Aurora, especially Barangay Umiray, faced significant challenges. The lockdowns hindered communication, making it difficult for students and residents to stay connected. In response, our team stepped in to provide internet access during this crucial time. We were warmly welcomed by the community, and we offered our services as prepaid to avoid adding financial burdens.
Initially, we had two voucher distributors and an on-call technician. However, complaints began to pour in about overpriced vouchers, despite the prices being clearly marked. I urged the distributors to stick to the set prices, as they were already earning a commission. To address ongoing issues, I decided to bring in a new distributor, which upset the original team. They threatened to resign if I continued with the new hire, unable to accept that their actions had led to this change.
After replacing the original personnel, we received positive feedback, noting the drop in voucher prices and the absence of additional charges for repairs or support. Despite this, rumors began to spread, fueled by the former team’s attempts to retaliate. They misled people, asking them to sign unnecessary documents, trying to drag others into their personal vendetta.
It's important for you to understand why we made these changes. We aim to maintain transparency and fairness, ensuring the community receives the service and respect it deserves.
