We’re launching a pair of limited and rare coffees this Saturday at our BGC cafe and we’re excited to have taking over our filter bar to brew them for you!

A long time home-brewer and coffee writer, Rye has been drinking our coffees since we were still doing events with our coffee cart.
Catch him behind the brew bar this Saturday from 9am - 6pm as he brews our limited single origin releases as well as a few surprise coffees as well!

Candid Coffee started as a coffee cart at Sidcor with a one man team. After years of being the barista, dishwasher, cashier and driver, our founder was finally able to gather a small team. It is thanks to their hardwork that Candid Coffee was able to expand from a cart to an actual cafe. We even have this little building where we can host our own event😁

Dahil sa walastik na init, we decided to make a refreshing cooler for May.
It’s our version of a Brazilian lemonade. Whole limes and calamansi were blended with water to get those super juicy flavors mixed with the bitterness of the rinds. After straining we blend it again with condensed milk to make a creamy lemonade.
Expect a BITTERSWEET flavor profile , super vibrant but balanced with sweet milky-ness with a tinge of bitterness from the fruit rinds. YES MAPAKLA siya talaga so beware if you’re not into that stuff. It finishes off with a fragrant guava foam for an added tropical vibe and pie crust to get that keylime crunch in the drink.
Don’t bother adding coffee, hindi bagay 😂 available in small batches for the whole of May only.

🌟 NEW SINGLE ORIGINS 🌟
RWANDA INTANGO ANAEROBIC NATURAL:
Our first coffee from Rwanda. This Bourbon is quite interesting for its unique processing method. “INTANGO” refers to a clay pot traditional used in east Africa for beer brewing. Coffee cherries are sealed in clay pots for 100hrs mimicking the fermentation of their traditional beer called Urwaga. This creates a low-oxygen environment allowing fruits to interact with natural microbes, resulting in a distinct flavor profile. Expect a dried fruit flavor with a crisp acidity and slight bitterness reminding us of grapefruit, rounded by a nutty taste. It’s like having a trail mix in a cup of coffee!
BUKIDNON MIARAYON MT. KALATUNGAN:
Harvested by the collective Mt. Kalatungan farmers, these catimor beans are cultivated at 1200masl amidst pristine landscapes. The natural processing method enhances the beans’ inherent flavors , offering a delightful cup with hints of tropical fruits and lingering sweetness. Shout out to Lanz of who helped us source these wonderful local beans! Bukidnon coffee is always something we look forward too it might just be our favorite Philippine origin when it comes to coffee.
