Northern Bukidnon State College Celebrates Success of CHED SMART Program Grantees

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) is proud to announce the successful awarding of the CHED Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) Program scholarships to deserving students. The ceremony, held on July 4, 2024, recognized a total of 50 recipients from the main campus, BUKSU-Malitbog Satellite, and BUKSU-Libona Satellite.

This program was made possible through the initiative of Congressman Jose Manuel F. Alba, District Representative of Bukidnon, 1st District. The facilitation of the program was efficiently managed by the NBSC Testing, Admission, Scholarship, and Aide Office, with the valuable support of CHED personnel Engr. Elmer C. Lopez (Education Supervisor II), Ms. Sarah Jane G. Medez (Education Supervisor II), Ms. Laiza Anna M. Galapin (Administrative Officer III), and Ms. MEara Zoe P. Jaso (Project Support Staff IV).

A total of 30 students from the main campus were awarded scholarships, with the top 10 students from each department being recognized for their academic excellence. Additionally, 10 students each from BUKSU-Malitbog Satellite and BUKSU-Libona Satellite received CHED SMART program.

This initiative highlights Congressman Alba's commitment to supporting the educational aspirations of students in his district. The CHED SMART Scholarship will alleviate financial burdens and empower these students to reach their full potential.

NBSC TASAO Holds Successful Socialization and Culmination Program for TES and TDP Grantees

The Testing, Admission, Scholarship, and Aide Office (TASAO) of the Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) culminated its program for Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong-Dunong Program (TDP) grantees on June 28, 2024, at the NBSC Student Development Center. The event, held from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN, served as a venue for socialization and recognition of the student beneficiaries.

The program was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Mr. Marvin Harrould A. Kho, Regional Director of CHED UniFAST Region X, and Ms. Mirabell P. Almuena, Lead Regional Coordinator for CHED UniFAST Region X. Representing the college administration were Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, Officer-in-Charge of the Chief Administrative Office, and Dr. Christine C. Royo, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs.

Katrina Joy S. Ellevera, a TES grantee who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED), and Armari Eljen E. Jenisan, a TDP grantee, expressed their heartfelt gratitude on behalf of their fellow beneficiaries during the program. The event also recognized and awarded grantees who achieved academic excellence, graduating with Latin honors. Dr. Royo delivered the closing remarks, formally concluding the program.

This socialization and culmination program provided an avenue for TES and TDP grantees to connect, celebrate their achievements, and gain valuable insights for their academic journeys.
