BREAKING: The Department of Health has detected the first confirmed monkeypox case in the Philippines.
The case is a 31-year-old Filipino national who arrived from abroad last July 19, 2022. The case had prior travel to countries with documented monkeypox cases, according to the Department of Health.

Philippine Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response among Disease Surveillance Officers Batch 2 held at Pearlmont Inn, Cagayan de Oro City on July 18-22, 2022.
A lot of participating Health Facilities from the different places within Region 10 have joined the said 5-day training facilitated by the DOH- CHD NM Regional Epidemiologic Surveillance and Response Unit (RESDRU) Cluster. The participants were given more than enough information and learnings that will equip and enable the old and new Disease Surveillance Officers in Detection, Registration, Reporting, Laboratory Testing and Confirmation, Data Management, Analysis and Report Generation, Feedback and Monitoring and Evaluation of the listed Notifiable Diseases as Mandated by the Republic Act 11332.

Side Post for the Celebration of the National Kidney Month successfully held on June 13, 2022 at Base Camp Elementary School with the Theme: "Bridging the Knowledge Gap to Better Kidney Care"
The target recipient were the Grade 6 Pupils of Base Camp Elementary School with a total of 97 Pupils. Everyone were screened including some of the teachers and just 3 of them were diagnosed with urinary tract infection which was then managed by our Medical Officer IV, Dr. JC Charm Asoy.
Special thanks to the team behind the successful activity. Our MHO- Dr. Evangeline C. Revilla, Dr. JC Charm Asoy (MO IV), Sir Tonymar Quillo (MedTech II), Ma'am Rhea Mae G. Mecisamente (Nurse), Ma'am Gina Noses (RHM), Ma'am Edylyn Requias (Lab Tech), Sir Reynaldo Pable Jr. (Administrative Aide).
To the Base Camp Elementary School, the teaching staffs headed by Sir Mark Windel Doño (ESP-1), Ma'am Mary Juliet Del Rosario (District I Nurse) and the Grade 6 pupils for actively participating in the said event.
