Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay bahagi ng National Family Week na ginugunita tuwing huling linggo ng Setyembre.

Inaanyayahan ang lahat na makiisa ngayong Agosto 14-19, 2023 para sa pagsasagawa ng Brigada Eskwela 2023 na may temang “Bayanihan para sa matatag na paaralan.”

Sa pangunguna ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd), ang Brigada Eskwela ay isang nationwide school maintenance program katuwang ang lahat ng mga education stakeholders sa bansa sa paglalaan ng kanilang oras, pagsisikap, at resources upang masig**o na handa ang lahat ng mga pampublikong paaralan sa bansa sa pagbubukas ng klase.

August 3, 2023 — The Department of Education (DepEd) announces that the opening of classes for School Year 2023-2024 in all public schools will be on August 29, 2023.

Private schools may choose to open classes on any date starting “the first Monday of June but not later than the last day of August," pursuant to Republic Act 11480.

A hybrid solar eclipse is one that changes its appearance as the Moon's shadow moves across the Earth's surface. So what begins as an annular solar eclipse can turn into a total eclipse and back to an annular again, depending on your location.

Just before and just after totality, a big display of Baily’s beads will be visible. Baily's beads are the last rays of sunlight that can be seen streaming through the valleys of the moon just before totality. They can also be seen as totality ends. During a hybrid solar eclipse, the displays of Baily's beads are longer because the moon is almost precisely the same apparent size as the Sun.
