This is by far the favorite line of lolos and lolas, titos and titas, who give the child unlimited chocolates and candies. 😓

💡 Yes, they are temporary teeth but did you know that baby teeth follow a specific schedule when they naturally fall out (paglagas/paglabas ng permament teeth)?

Sa araw araw na clinic day, walang sawa naming ipinapaliwanag na hindi porke baby teeth, pwedeng hayaan na lang or bunutin.

Consider this scenario, for example:

A 2-year-old child develops cavities on his front teeth.

Napansin na ni mommy nung 1 year old si baby pero dahil 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 at hindi naman umiinda ng pain, hinayaan na lamang. Pero isang gabi, hindi makatulog si baby, ayaw rin mag milk or solids kahit during the day. Pag silip ni mommy sa front teeth, may nana na at namamaga.

Dinala sa clinic, at sinabi ang pangyayari. Upon checking, hindi na kayang remedyuhan dahil pudpod na. Wala nang ibang magagawa kundi bunutin na lamang para walang infection, at makapag feed ng maayos si baby.

Although these teeth are temporary, mapapalitan ito ng permanent teeth at age 6-8years old. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝟰-𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀?

Paano pa kung nasira na rin ang mga molars? Na mapapalitan ng permanent teeth between ages 9 and 13? Are you prepared to adjust your child’s diet by cutting meat and fruits into bite-size portions because your child may have difficulty chewing properly?

It's common for children to continue eating even when they have cavities because tooth decay doesn't always cause immediate pain. This can be due to various factors, including a child's high pain tolerance or the extent and severity of the cavities. But that does not mean your child is okay. 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲, 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴 𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗵𝗶𝗻. Kung ano man ang nararamdaman nating mga adult, ganun din sa kanila.

Tooth decay develops gradually over time, and as the decay progresses, it may eventually reach the inner layers of the tooth where the nerves are located, leading to pain and discomfort.

Here's one of our favorite cases from the clinic, demonstrating that there is always something we can do. We always strive to save what we can and believe that kids deserve the best treatment too. We are here to help you! ❤️

This patient is a 4-year-old baby girl who was brought to our clinic by her concerned parents due to triggered toothache in her upper left molars. Upon examination, the patient exhibited poor oral hygiene, with cavities present in 16 out of 20 baby teeth. We are very very happy that after consultation, the parents agreed to preserve whatever teeth could be saved.

Now, she enjoys eating and can smile more confidently. 💖

She returns to us regularly for check-ups, cleaning, and fluoride treatment, and has been a member of the since October 2023. 🦷

These tooth-colored dental restorations blend seamlessly with your child's natural teeth, providing long-lasting protection and restoring the tooth's natural shape and function. They have a high success rate and can last for several years with proper care and maintenance.

During the procedure, a rubber dam is used to isolate the teeth being treated from the rest of the mouth.
