Ingenium School Marikina
Ingenium—a Catholic school that welcomes all and offers non-traditional basic education formation.
We are a small school with a big heart and even bigger aspirations. We keep the student-teacher ratio small so we can attend to the different needs of our individual students. We keep ourselves updated on best practices in education here and abroad, and use what are applicable to continually improve our basic education program. We try to provide as interesting and stimulating a learning environment as we can afford so students get the message that learning is not just important, it is also fun.
At Ingenium, we’re always thinking about how we can make improvements to ensure our school is a comfortable and enjoyable place to learn. Our latest addition? Two massive ceiling fans in our quadrangles, provide a refreshing breeze for students as they move through the halls and spend time outside of their cool, air-conditioned classrooms.
There are more upgrades on the way! Stay tuned here for updates.
Today, we honor the bravery and sacrifices of those we learn about in history—figures whose courage shaped our nation. Let their example inspire us to be changemakers in our own ways, every day. Happy National Heroes Day! 🇵🇭

The core values of Ingenium School are proudly displayed on the back of our PE shirts as a reminder: Civitas (citizenship)—serving the community, Sapientia (wisdom)—making wise choices, and Caritas (love and compassion)—caring for others.
Throughout the school year, our students participate in activities that bring these values to life. From our simple class activities to the grand productions, everything we do is centered around these core values. Stay tuned as we share those moments with you all-year round!
Three symbols on the back of each Ingenium School student’s PE Shirt. What could these symbols mean? 🤔
Leave your answer in the comments section. We’ll announce the answer this coming Sunday!
Fr. Edmundo Martinez, or Fr. Ed as he's fondly called, celebrated the first community mass of the school year, the Mass of the Holy Spirit. Once a month, all Ingenium School students, teachers, and staff gather in the quadrangle to join Fr. Ed to celebrate Mass. Through the homily, Fr. Ed, has the opportunity to address everyone in the community and not just the lucky few in his class.
Thank you for responding to the call, Ingenium School family!
The donation drive last July 26, 2024 was initiated by Ingenium School parents, Herbert and Heidi Hernandez, and Ayien Dalinoc, in response to a request for assistance from Tumana Barangay captain Ziefried through his assistant, Juliet Ortega.
The initial donations were solicited by Mr. Herbert Hernandez from CDO as did some cash donations which allowed things to get rolling. That evening, over 300 relief bags with rice, canned goods, other food items, and toiletries were packed by the Hernandez family and some Ingenium School parents, students, teachers, and staff.
The next morning, more bags were packed as more relief items came in. By noon a team of Ingenium School admin staff and Student Council officers were led by Mrs. Ayien Dalinoc in distributing the relief goods in Brgy. Tumana.
Because more donations came in that day—including 500 Orocan buckets donated through Gigil, and boxes of clothes, and cash—the relief drive was extended to Monday, July 29. Teachers and staff of Ingenium School, together with student and parent volunteers, made quick work of repacking the relief goods. That same day, residents of another area in Brgy. Tumana received the 500 Orocan buckets filled with relief goods.
Ingenium School thanks the generous donors, parents, and friends for contributing to the drive. Special thanks to Mr. Herbert Hernandez and family, and Gigil for initiating the activity. We also thank Mrs. Ayien Dalinoc and Mrs. Heidi Hernandez for coordinating and staying on top of the donation drive. Lastly, we thank all the parents, students, teachers, and staff who made our donation drive a smooth and successful one.
Let us continue to look out for each other this rainy season. We hope and pray for everyone's health and safety! 💜

Dear LP parents and guardians,
I apologize we were not able to inform parents beforehand that the awarding of Recognition Cards was just for students as it normally is for the Upper Primary and Junior HIgh School. This is because the last LP Recognition Certificate-awarding event showed us how the students still needed to be taught proper behavior at the awarding ceremony and other community programs/gatherings, and how we very much need the time and the space to teach them properly.
We are considering other options where parents may be able to witness their children receiving recognition certificates. We’re open to suggestions on how this can be done within the parameters of our policy regarding Academic Awards (see our Student Handbook).
In the meantime, let this also be advance notice that the release of the 3rd quarter recognition certificates will also remain for students only. We want our students to experience the joy of excitedly and proudly showing their certificates to their parents when they get home. Such shared private moments of joy will hopefully go a long way in strengthening children’s bonds with their parents.
Again, my apologies for any inconvenience that it may have caused. And thank you for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Dr Salve
Castiel Verzosa, Grade 4, went to heaven last December 29, 2023. Today, February 5, his family observes the 40thday after his passing. They send the Ingenium community their appreciation for all the expressions of support and prayers. Together with their family, we request continued prayers for the repose of his soul.
We will always remember you, Cas! 💜
Happy New Year to all our Ingenium School students and their families, teachers, and staff! 🌟
The modest good we do together can brighten the lives around us.
We wish all our Ingenium School students, parents, teachers, and staff a blessed Christmas!
May the miracle of His birth fill all our homes with love, hope, and peace.
In the heavens, Super Nova, the superior of the stars, announces that God's Son will be born as man on earth. This very special event requires a very special star to mark his birthplace and guide people of goodwill to the baby Jesus. This star will be called the Star of Bethlehem. Who will be the Star of Bethlehem? How will the stars light up the night sky at Jesus' birth? Will the people make their way to baby Jesus?
Star(s) of Bethlehem is an original Ingenium School play that will bring together our youngest learners on stage. For weeks, they worked with their teachers to bring to life this three-act play. We look forward to diving into the story, and picking up a lesson or two from the show!
It's going to be a magical weekend ushering in the Christmas Holidays with the whole Ingenium School community!
