PILI, Camarines Sur- This was expressed by Center Director Elsa Parot during her closing remarks of the 5- day Training of Trainers on Coconut-Cacao Farming System. The DA-ATI Bicol proudly produced 28 graduates comprising of 7 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEW), 4 PCA Personnel, and 17 Farmer Leaders across the Bicol Region.

The training aimed to provide knowledge on the economic and environmental advantages of Coconut-Cacao Farming System through lectures, plenary discussions, and practical applications.

As part of the training, the participants also had a benchmarking activity at the Crave Cacao Orchard, where they learned about proper pruning, identification of pests and diseases, nursery management, post-harvest activities, and marketing activities.

The High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) of the Provincial Agriculture Office (OPAg- Masbate) conducted the YEAR-END PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND PLANNING WORKSHOP in the Province of Masbate.

The activity which was attended by the 41 HVCDP Municipal and Provincial Coordinators, presented the Annual Accomplishments of their respective Assignments for this year 2023 and craft projected plans and programs for C.Y 2024.

Thank you so much SP Georgejr Gonzales (Chairman Committee on Agri.) for the usual support to the Agriculture programs and Projects.

Orientation on Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation Program (F2C2) at City Nursery, Asid, Masbate City. An activity conducted by the DA RFO 5, facilitated by the Provincial Government of Masbate, with the support of LGU Mobo, Masbate City, and Milagros. The activity aims to support all mango growers in Masbate through clustering and providing interventions stated in the Cluster Development Plan to be accomplished by the cooperative.
The said event was attended by the mango growers, the general manager of the AGCOOP Mr. Frederick Ramos, the Municipal Agriculturist of Mobo, Mr. Vener Aban , City Agriculturist Engr. Rodolfo Ajero Jr., The F2C2 regional focal person , Ms. Yen Dimaculangan together with her staffs, Provincial Mango Focal Person Engr. Kenth Reynard C. Muñoz, Provincial HVCDP coordinator Ms. Annie Jane Mondares, and APCO W***y Nelmida.
