To encourage the youth and to teach them the word of God

21/03/2023

Hail, Mary! Full of grace,
The Lord is with thee;
Blessed are thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

Once we experience Godโ€™s healing power, the most important thing is for us to recognize that โ€˜it was Jesusโ€™. We tend to live our lives oblivious of His healing or the work of His hands. Most of the time when we experience healing or at least something inspiring, we are not able to see Jesusโ€™ face right away. It always starts with, โ€œI heard it from some manโ€, or โ€œI saw it in a videoโ€, or โ€œI read somewhere.โ€ We have to understand that in all these life-changing or heart-warming experiences, it is Jesus. It is always Jesus. The moment we acknowledge that it is Him, He comes and asks the question, โ€œDo you believe in the Son of Man? You have seen Him and it is He speaking to you.โ€ Only when we acknowledge Jesus can we be truly healed from our blindness.

SEEKING THE TRUTH
Today's gospel reminds us of the importance of understanding the law while opening our eyes to our tendency to misunderstand it. If our conscience is not formed or left without guidance, we have a tendency to spread God's teaching falsely. We should be aware that our wrong interpretation may cause spiritual harm not only to us but also to the people closest to us. This is the reason why we need to always seek spiritual guidance. Indeed the law of the Lord is profound and rich but though seemingly complex, we can reach understanding if only we seek it.

Reflection:
How can I be sure that my interpretation of the laws and commandments of God is correct? To whom can l ask more guidance from in order to understand God's teaching?

WHY DO WE PRAY
God's reminders for today are actually for our benefit., He wants us to ask, seek, or knock in order to train our desire and determination to trust in Hirn. These acts are never an assurance of receiving but may quarantee a solidified trust and faith in Hirn. Today, ask God for what you need and desire. Listen to Him as He answers your prayers.

Reflection:
What things am l asking for from God? What seems to be his answer?

TRUSTING GOD'S SIGN
Life is pretty confusing. Most of the time, we prefer things to be clearly laid out for us so that it would be easier for us to make a choice. It's almost as if we want God to go down from heaven and tell us exactly what to do. The thing is, God gave us the free will to make a choice. While it is true that He wants to guide us, what He wants more is for us to trust. Asking for a sign should be coupled with asking for the grace to trust God and His plan for our lives.

Reflection:
When was the last time I prayed for a sign before making a choice or a decision? How did God talk to me through that sign?

THE PERFECT PRAYER
Reflect, today, upon this perfect prayer, the Our Father. One temptation is that we can become so familiar with this prayer that we gloss over its true meaning. If that happens, then we'd be babbling more than praying. Saint lgnatius of Loyola recommends pondering every word of that prayer very slowly, one word at a time. Try to pray this way, today, and allow the Our Father to move from babbling to authentic communication with the Father in Heaven.

Reflection:
What line from the prayer "Our Father" strikes me the most? Why is this so?
