Kiwanis Club of Gat Uban

As KC G*t Uban continue to pursue " ", the members joined our mother club KC of Kalilayan and sibling KC of Kalilayan Angels in participating the activity Camp to learn with Salinas Elementary School graders which aims to guide them in their personality development and social interaction. This was held last July 18, 2024.
53 grade 1 to 3 students participated in the event who received Certificate and a "pa merienda" of Jolibee Zesto treat.
Pres. Tanada and Treasurer Ona and club members were the busy bees for G*t Uban with special thanks to Ms. Alice Torrano who showed her kindness for the realization of this project.

The Kiwanis Club of G*t-Uban, led by President-elect Michelle Javier, Secretary-elect Joan Lavarro, and Treasurer-elect Alpha Joy Reginio, actively participated in and completed the Club Leadership Education Conference on June 9, 2024, at St. Jude Multipurpose Hall in Tayabas City. This event, themed "From Better to Best, Building up Kiwanis," was in preparation for AY 2024-2025.

Last June 5, 2024, council meeting was held at Doc JB Calamigan's residence in Iyam, Lucena City, attended by Div4C officers.

The heat is on and still can feel it!!!
But not today, May 11, 2024 wherein a joint project, "free haircut for mothers & children" were sponsored by KC of Lucena Kalilayan and KCL Angels and KC of G*t Uban. Recipients of the project were at least 50 mothers and children of Ibabang Iyam, Lucena City.
It's an early treat for Mother's day celebration on the 12th of May⚘️⚘️
Saludia salon did wonders to snip and cut for a more stylish and
beautiful mothers and children. Making them feel refresh!!
A nutritious "taho" were also distributed that add joy to the children😊😊

5th Div4C council meeting

The g*thering of club officers for the Div 4C was held last April 24 at the office of Lt Gov Calamigan.
Among the agenda discusses were:
*Submission of district reports
*District Awards updates
*Concerns on the criteria of district awards and recognition
*Unpaid dues
*DisCon on Sept. 5-7 2024

After the meeting, there was a fellowship that filled the room of laughters and small talks among the officers.

After spending april 21 morning with the slipper distribution, officers and members of KC of G*t held their monthly meeting headed by Pres. Flor Tanada. Discussed are future projects
and club accomplishments. The president thank the members for their tireless effort for the success of club's project.

Instead of spending the Sunday morning last April21 with our family, G*t Uban officers led by Pres. Flor Tanada and members shared the morning with Alawin children by distributing slippers

That little thing called "tsinelas" or slipper gave a big Smile to more or less 50 young kids while selecting it with their fave colors.

Another day of making the kids happy the Kiwanian way.

It's a yearly religious tradition of all catholics to visit at least 7 churches to commemorate the last days of our dear Jesus Christ in Earth during Holy Week or Semana Santa.
This religious tradition was jointly commemorated by KC of Lucena Kalilayan, KC Kalilayan Angels and KC of G*t Uban. Each club members were joined by young girls and boys who participated in the Way of the Cross by reading and praying.
Hoping that the young generations will continue this good action.

Monthly council meeting of Div 4C was held last March 5 at the Tropical Diner in Lucena City.
Reporting for the previous month activities and plans for the coming Holy Week for KC of G*t Uban is Pres. Flor Tanada.
Officers of other clubs also reported their activitìes and concerns.
G*t Uban's Visita Iglesia was scheduled on March 16 wherein members will be enjoined by young catholic devotees.

A joint project of KC of G*t Uban, KC Lucena Kalilayan and Kalilayan Angels was implemented last Feb 5 to help the fire victims in Brgy. 1, Lucena City. The tragedy strike last Jan 26,which left our kababayans homeless and orphans.
Distribution of rice, eggs, bread, soap and detergents, noodles and other basic commodites that can be of help were donated.

Good hearted members of G*t Uban contributed cash sufficient to purchase rice distributed to 25 families, headed by Pres. Flor Tanada and Treasurer Elsie Ona. Sack of rice were also donated by the kind hearted friends of our dear Pres. Flor Tanada.

As part of the Kiwanis Week celebration , KC of Lucena Kalilayan together with KC of G*t Uban and Kalilayan Angels spearheaded the Division 4C Friendly Duckpin Bowling Competition at Inigos Sports Complex, Lucena City last Jan. 25, 2024.
Due appreciations to Div 4C clubs who participated and emerged winners in the bowling tournament.
Seniors and non-seniors willingly and with full of enery swing their arms to aim a strike.
A night of laughter, giggling and camaraderie.

109th anniversary of Kiwanis International

The celebration of Kiwanis Week started last Jan. 21 with the attendance of Div4 C various club. The kickoff began with a mass, followed by flower offerings to the monument of our national hero, Jose Rizal at the old Lucena City hall by club officers and members.
G*t Uban president FlorTanada together with Club treasurer and secretary joined the flower offering. Each club received a certificate of participation from Pres Lorna Cano of Hiyas ng Quezon who spearhead the activity.
For the rest of the week, other activities to expect is the submission of signature project, bowling tournament organized by Pres Lan Baldeo of Lucena Kalilayan and the Kiwanis night.

It's a wonderful time of the year when all members have time to g*ther and enjoy the season of Christmas!!!

3rd Div 4C council meeting was held last Dec 13, 2023 in the fave place of Tropical Diner's in Lucena. The picture speaks for itself as to the attendance of the various clubs. Officers of each club reported their club accomplishments and planned projects. One agenda that was tackled is the Kiwanis Night to be held in Manila Hotel.n Jan 27, 2024. christmas in november for the elderly

KC of G*t Uban also looked after the elders.
An early christmas activity for the sick and elderly of various barangay in Mauban, Quezon last Nov.26,2023. Diapers, clothing and food items were distributed that made our senior citizens aged 65 to 98 years old smile and bring back their energy. It's a work of love and sacrifice. Under the heat of the sun, members
reached out the elders located in Brgy. Polo, Bagong Bayan, Lual, Soledad and Daungan, Mauban.
