The CLSU Department of Environmental Science celebrates the successful on-the-job training (OJT) of the students of the department in this culminating activity - Colloquium 2024.
Exploring New Waters | Four Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES) students embarked on an exchange program at Kasetsart University (KU), Thailand, from June 30 to July 26, 2024. Adeline Belga, Rhose Anne Juan, Gary Eiron Santos, and Clarissa Villota participated in diverse theoretical and hands-on activities focused on freshwater and marine environments. Their experiences spanned the KU main campus in Bangkok, the Sri Racha Fisheries Research Station in Chonburi, and the Kamphaeng Saen Campus in Nakhon Pathom. They were accompanied by four students from the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries program.
Incoming senior students specializing in environmental engineering and members of the CLSU Association of Future Environmental Scientists (CAFES), Adeline, Rhose Anne, Gary Eiron, and Clarissa are trailblazers as the first students from the CLSU Department of Environmental Science to join an international exchange program.

Ms. Maria Elena Cuizon, BS Environmental Science student of CLSU Department of Environmental Science, together with three other students from the College of Science, will participate in the hybrid short-term course "Integrated Agricultural Technologies: Smart Farming, Sustainable Agriculture, Nanotechnology, Bioprocessing, and Biotechnologyโ hosted by Universitas Brawijaya with a series of online sessions and on-site for almost 2 weeks.

Students of the CLSU - College of Science gathered together for the annual recognition of their hardwork and perseverance in their pursuit of higher education held at CLSU Auditorium during the Honors' Day 2024.
Mr. Peter Ryuken Hermosura, a BS Meteorology student from the department, led the hundreds of scholars of the College of Science in this year's event.

These sub-events aim to foster collaboration between the students, Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officials, and experts in Meteorology as they engage in meaningful activities about hydrometeorological hazards, weather forecasting, expertise, and research competitions (for high school students). ๐ค In addition, this is an opportunity for students and teachers to enhance their scientific and technical capabilities who have an unending thirst for knowledge in atmospheric science, meteorology, and allied sciences. ๐ค๏ธ
