The CLSU Department of Environmental Science celebrates the successful on-the-job training (OJT) of the students of the department in this culminating activity - Colloquium 2024.

Exploring New Waters | Four Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES) students embarked on an exchange program at Kasetsart University (KU), Thailand, from June 30 to July 26, 2024. Adeline Belga, Rhose Anne Juan, Gary Eiron Santos, and Clarissa Villota participated in diverse theoretical and hands-on activities focused on freshwater and marine environments. Their experiences spanned the KU main campus in Bangkok, the Sri Racha Fisheries Research Station in Chonburi, and the Kamphaeng Saen Campus in Nakhon Pathom. They were accompanied by four students from the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries program.

Incoming senior students specializing in environmental engineering and members of the CLSU Association of Future Environmental Scientists (CAFES), Adeline, Rhose Anne, Gary Eiron, and Clarissa are trailblazers as the first students from the CLSU Department of Environmental Science to join an international exchange program.

Students of the CLSU - College of Science gathered together for the annual recognition of their hardwork and perseverance in their pursuit of higher education held at CLSU Auditorium during the Honors' Day 2024.

Mr. Peter Ryuken Hermosura, a BS Meteorology student from the department, led the hundreds of scholars of the College of Science in this year's event.

The CLSU Department of Environmental Science together with the CLSU Atmospheric Society - ATMOS join the Weather and Climate Community for the 159th National and 74th World Meteorological Day.

In view of the celebration, the CLSU ATMOS prepared a series of activities to bolster the engagement of the young meteorologists and environmental scientists to take climate actions.

The event will be a two-day series of talks and researches about weather, climate and society, held in Camelot Hotel, Quezon City.

Meanwhile, research papers will be presented at 10 AM after a quick group photo and health break.

The event will occur at the Central Luzon State University on January 26-27.🌀

These sub-events aim to foster collaboration between the students, Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officials, and experts in Meteorology as they engage in meaningful activities about hydrometeorological hazards, weather forecasting, expertise, and research competitions (for high school students). 🤝 In addition, this is an opportunity for students and teachers to enhance their scientific and technical capabilities who have an unending thirst for knowledge in atmospheric science, meteorology, and allied sciences. 🌤️

As one of the sub-events of the Meteorology for Young Scientists: Science, Technology, and Innovation (MET4YOU), 𝐌𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 aims to gather the best senior high school students in Central Luzon as they present their research and innovations with project prototypes.👨‍💻🧑‍💻 The 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 will show their research before the panel of judges on 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, at 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝟕:𝟑𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝟒 𝐏𝐌. The event’s objective is to enhance the scientific and technical capabilities of the student participants in their pursuit of excellence in atmospheric science, meteorology, and allied sciences.🌡️
