Impakabsat Regional Trade Fair: Only the Best from the Cordilleras
IMPAKABSAT Regional Trade Fair will be at the Festival Mall from 17-26 November 2023! It features
The fair is implemented by DTI-CAR and plays host to 80 small and medium enterprises who are engaged in the production, manufacture and sale of various products for personal, home and office use. Cordilleran products add a hint of ethnicity and give off an "old world" feel, particularly for items that are crafted using skills that have been passed down from generation to generation.

: Sibes Agrarian from Apayao!
Filipinos love breakfast and one of its staple morning food is the longganisa. Longganisa originated in the 16th century when Spanish settlers brought pork sausages to the Philippines. The locals quickly adopted the food and began to make their own versions of it. They used local ingredients, such as garlic, vinegar, and spices, to give the sausages a unique flavor. Perfect with the tasty longganisa is a dip or sawsawan!

Bamboos are used for a great variety of purposes. The jointed stems of bamboo have perhaps the most numerous uses; the largest stems supply planks for houses and rafts, while both large and small stems are lashed together to form the scaffoldings used on building-construction sites. The stems are also split up to make buckets and pipes or are used to make furniture, flooring, walking sticks, fishing poles, garden stakes, and other utensils. It's adaptability and strength makes it flexible as raw material for numerous handicraft and accessories.

The province of Abra is abundant in bamboo, hence why the province's festival is named after the same (Abrenian Kawayan Festival). Just like the bamboo, the people of Abra and the Cordilleras have learned to yield through and endure challenges and bounce back thereafter. The Abreños, likewise, developed the skill and talent of turning bamboos into a multitude of things be it as functional tools or decorative items through time.

The fair is implemented by DTI-CAR and plays host to 70+ small and medium enterprises who are engaged in the production, manufacture and sale of various products for pasalubong, personal, home and office use. Cordillera products add a hint of ethnicity and give off an "old world" but modern feel, particularly for items that are crafted using skills that have been passed down from generation to generation. Food items of the Cordillera Highlands are also rare finds in the Metro. Cordillera’s high elevation also gives the unique quality and texture to its food products.
Did you know that Baguio City is the only UNESCO designated Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art in the Country? Well, it’s no less because of the whole Cordillera’s unique expression of its culture.
