HAIR PIN
By Lyra Lim-Isidoro
My husband and I were blessed to join a Holy Land pilgrimage in 2022. One of my most unforgettable experiences was in Cana of Galilee, where Jesus turned water into wine during a wedding.
Prior to our trip, all married women were advised to bring their wedding veils since there will be renewal of vows. I couldn’t bring mine as it was borrowed by a friend, and I wasn’t able to get it back in time for our travel.
We were on the bus on the way to Cana when Buddy, one of our co-pilgrims, casually offered to lend me a white shawl without even knowing that I didn’t have a veil with me. Another co-pilgrim who we call Tita Dottie, volunteered to fix my hair and makeup.
We just had one problem. We couldn’t put the veil on because we didn’t have a hair pin. Out of nowhere, Sheila came to our aid offering some hair pins!
I was in total awe witnessing how the Lord moved through the people around me. I experienced a personal modern-day miracle at the same site where Jesus performed His first miracle.
There were several glorious sites we visited during our entire pilgrimage where I encountered God’s presence, but these seemingly ordinary circumstances were also grandiose.
God knows our every need. Like how Jesus provided wine at the wedding, He will also attend to our needs—even as tiny as a hair pin. Because if it matters to you, it matters to God.

My mom will tell you I have a unique way of using the stairs at home. I bound down the steps with energy, my footsteps having a certain rhythm to them.
It’s distinct from the way others use the stairs, she says. She knows I’m approaching (and not my dad or brother) just by the sound of my feet. She can even tell when I’m coming down the stairs by myself and when my cat is in my arms– my footsteps sound different 😸
This is similar to learning to hear God’s voice.
Many voices grab our attention: our friends, opinions on social media, the demands of our work, the noise of entertainment, societal expectations. We also have internal voices: fear, pride, insecurity, judgment, shame.
Among the multiple voices, how do we know which is God’s?
My mom knows the sound of my footsteps because she knows my ways. Similarly, we become familiar with God by cultivating a friendship with Him. Making time for Him through daily prayer, reading his Word, and having godly relationships/community aids in building intimacy. Over time, by His grace, we learn to better identify his voice.
“God speaks in the silence of the heart,” said Mother Teresa. Let’s ask God to speak to us in ways we understand, so we can know and love Him better.

Friend, are you walking away from God? Are you going through spiritual dryness? Do you feel that God is so far away from you? In this insightful talk this Wednesday, the words strongly encourage believers to have open hearts and ears to listen when wisdom calls out.
He finds us where we're at, and He will not have any of his sheep whom He knows by name waiver and be lost through unbelief---For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

Seeds of faith
By Oying Isidoro
I remember planting this calamansi shrubs way back in 2015. My Grandfather has a green thumb so it must have rubbed into me.
I never imagined being like him, but I just gave it a shot.
No one really knows how a plant will turn out. In faith, you plant hoping that what you planted will flourish and bear fruit.
Some plants bear fruit within a year, while others take a little longer. But whatever happens in God’s beautiful time it will grow.
Last weekend we harvested some of the calamsi fruits and it reminded me of God’s faithfulness so I decided to look for the photo when I first planted it in our garden. The first photo shows me planting and the other photo is from just the other day after I harvested the fruits of my precious calamansi plant.
On Wednesday, April 10, WFA moves to a new venue at the 2020 Function Hall of Bellevue Hotel. We believe that the area is a fertile ground for evangelization so just like my calamansi plant, we will sow seeds and hope that it bears fruit.
As St. Paul wrote in 1 Cor 3:6 “I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow”
We hold on to God’s faithfulness that whatever we plant, God will make it grow.
White hair
by Yabee Eusebio
A funny conversation with my 4-year old son Jan on our way to the Holy Week Recollection Servant's Anointing.
Momsy: You look like Popsy, Jan.
Popsy: You're pogi like me!
everyone laughed
Jan thinks for a moment.
Jan: But I don't have long white hair like Popsy.
Everyone laughed again.
Seriously though, this conversation about my white hair made me realize how fast time passes by. More often than not, the hectic day makes us forget to slow down and be witnesses to God's wonderful creation and in my case, these are my children. Once they fit in one arm, now I need both just to carry them and it feels like it happened in a blink of an eye because of everything that has and is happening around me like work, service, my problems, etc.
My prayer for us today is that we get to notice God's work around us and be thankful for the blessings we receive because of it so that we see Him in the ordinary.
Cheers to the memories made in this home! 🥂 We are grateful for every moment shared here. Last photo op before we turn the page to a new chapter in our journey. Let's make new memories in our next home!

God’s Gift
by Kuya Dan
The beauty of the sunrise is breathtaking. I saw it from my windowpane. Honestly, sometimes I'm not fully aware of God's work in the little details of my day. Good thing I have this short literary, now I know that the fact that I wake up every morning is a miracle in itself.
Today just like any other day, I woke up to the sweetest smile of my very best friend, my mother.
But today is extra special because it's her 87th birthday (April 1). And I greeted her with a big hug and kiss. Then I whispered, "I love you Nanay, Happy Birthday". Yeah, that was priceless.
Mothers are the most underappreciated overachievers. But it's never too late to make them feel appreciated.
My mother is a symbol of love and care. My first teacher, friend and inspiration. She is the most beautiful, strong, loving, caring, and wonderful person in this world. No one is kinder than my mother.
Our relationship is one of the strongest and most loving bonds I have ever experienced. Thank you Lord for this most precious gift. She serves as a wonderful example of what it means to nurture and live out love for those around her.
It says in Proverbs 31:26, "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." That’s my mother.
Thoughts to ponder on Talk 4: “𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞” of our series Messy Saints.

When love is our highest goal, it guides our thoughts, words, and actions. It inspires us to seek reconciliation instead of conflict, understanding instead of judgment, and forgiveness instead of resentment. Love compels us to see the humanity in everyone we meet, recognizing that we are all connected by our shared experiences of joy and suffering.
Ultimately, making love our highest goal is a transformative act. It not only changes how we interact with the world but also how we see ourselves. It opens our hearts to the beauty and wonder of life, and empowers us to make a positive impact on the world around us.

I felt tears rolling down my cheeks as I was listening to the stories of my brothers and sisters in the recent Holy Week Recollection of the Feast Alabang District.
In particular, I was deeply touched by the sharing of two of my fellow servants at Wednesday Feast.
Fiel Saac of our Intercessory Ministry survived the deadly surges caused by typhoon Yolanda. And after months of desperately searching for the "cadaver" of his family members, he miraculously found them: all alive.
Zild Paguio, my 𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑘, recounted her story of an abusive and dysfunctional family at a very young age. Her family was miraculously healed by the Lord, and she's now a Youth missionary, serving our hurting youth.
Our God is a God of the ordinary. In quiet, ordinary situations. In a baby's smile. When you cross the street. In the stillness of the blessed sacrament.
But let us also remember that God is a God of desperate and extraordinary situations. He turned water into wine. He raised Lazarus from the grave. He walks on water. He drives out evil spirits.
Let's acknowledge, praise, and thank God for the small, big, ordinary, and extraordinary miracles He performs daily in our lives.

THRIVE
By Lyra Lim-Isidoro
A few months ago, I visited my parents’ house and was surprised to see that the branches of the old “talisay” tree that stood in front of our house for more than three decades were gone. I didn’t bother to ask my dad why he decided to cut all its branches. I presumed they were already getting tangled with the electric wires of the lamp posts and shedding too many leaves that are too much to sweep every day.
I got a bit emotional as I recalled the time my dad planted it as a tiny shoot when I was 8 years old. The tree served us well providing cool shade over our abode as its branches stretched far wide to cover almost our entire home.
Today, I came over again to my parents’ place and was surprised to see the tree covered with so many green leaves again. Because it has thick and deep roots, it was still able to absorb enough food to sustain itself. I believe this is like our relationship with God. If we are deeply anchored in Him, we will always thrive.
“… Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

I was told God can be found in a baby’s smile, or a glorious sunset. But I rejected these suggestions, thinking them foolish and sentimental.
As an unbeliever, I wanted solid proof of God’s existence: something I can see and touch, yet amazing, irrational, illogical, supernatural.
Since I was seeking, I joined the Feast, unaware it’s a Charismatic community. I underwent formation, baptism in the Holy Spirit, and served in a ministry.
To my surprise I would sometimes encounter people speaking in tongues, receiving visions in prayer meetings, people whose hands heat up when they’re near someone in need of healing. I was skeptical, but kept an open mind. I eventually joined the prayer ministry where I saw more of the Lord’s power, slowly breaking down my unbelief about His existence.
Years later, I was in Adoration sitting before the Blessed Sacrament as I had done for years. Suddenly, it hit me: the proof of God’s existence was in front of me all along! Jesus in the Eucharist, One I can see and touch; amazing, irrational, illogical, supernatural… contained in a humble, ordinary host.
God may be in miraculous, extraordinary experiences. But in His humility, God is also in what the world rejects, what we deem foolish, what we pass off as sentimentality.
May our eyes be opened so we learn to truly see God– even in the mundane and ordinary.

Road Trip with God
By Oying Isidoro
Two weeks ago I was feeling down and I just can’t seem to pinpoint the source of such feeling. I felt extremely sad, yet I don’t know why. I was thinking could this be remnants of my past when I was diagnosed with mild depression.
That night, my wife had music ministry rehearsals, but she wasn’t feeling well. So she asked me if I could drive her to their rehearsal.
While we were inside the car she decided to listen to Radical Love by Stockholm Worship.
She wanted to familiarize herself with the song that they would be singing.
As the song was being played on loop I was hearing the song over and over. And there was this line in the song that caught my attention.
“What a radical thing
To be fully alive
By Your mercy I’m waking up to see this
Wonderful life”
I felt God speaking to me and telling me “You woke up this morning. Look at all the wonderful things in your life” As I reflected on his message, I realized there are so many wonderful things in my life, I have a wonderful wife, I am driving my own car, I have a wonderful family in WFA. I have so many reasons not to be sad.
All these happened while listening to a song inside the car.
Welcome to God in the Ordinary a place where we share of Godly experiences in ordinary things.

Yes, God is in the middle of everyday, ordinary stuff.
'God in the Ordinary' are daily reflections of ordinary people, experiencing God in the ordinary.
Yes, God is in the middle of everyday, ordinary stuff. We look for God to perform big things, and miss Him in the little things.
Make it a habit to read, reflect, like, and share these stories.
May these reflections help you connect with God. ❤
COMING SOON this April.
Living victoriously does not mean not losing or failing.
Living victoriously means getting up every time you fall down, rushing forward even if life is pulling you back, living even if you feel like dying, loving even if you are hurting, doing the right thing even if it's difficult.🙌🏼
Will you start choosing to live victoriously today?
It is walking in faith that you will experience miracles, because you are walking with the miracle working God.
God will turn your greatest tragedy into His glorious victory in your life.
Jesus is powerful. He defeated death.
Because He is powerful, you can be still in the midst of trials, in the midst of sickness and pain.
You are following Jesus.
Be still in His presence and let God handle it.
Because He is powerful, you can be still in the midst of trials, in the midst of sickness and pain.
Be still and let God handle it. 😌
Let us be like a sunflower, always focusing our attention, not just to the sun but to the Son, who has risen from the tomb.
We are Easter people. Easter people do not walk. We run and race towards the tomb, towards salvation, that God is offering.
We are Easter people and Hallelujah is our song!
Jesus is risen! Hallelujah! 🕊️🤍
