Despite of LPG Regulation Act of 2021 still many unscrupulous dealers do not have a permit and license to sell and have been found commiting acts inimical to the interest of the consumers, they deliberately selling illegally repaired cylinders as well as underfilling and illegal refilling. Welding showed that the cylinder were prone to leakage.

Under BP 33 AS AMENDED BY PD 1865

Rule IV Section 2a - Underfilling
LPG quantity contained shall not be more than three tenths (-0.3) of one kilogram less than the required cylinder content. (More than three tenths (-0.4) shall constitute underfilling).

Rule IV Section 2b - All LPG marketers, dealers, and retail outlets selling directly to end-users shall maintain at all times in their premises a suitable weighing scale for LPG cylinders calibrated and sealed by proper authority.

LPG traders and suppliers must assures customers of high quality LPG products with the mandatory markings and minimum requirements provided by DOE as follows (1) Brand name and logo (2) Net content markings (3) Tare weight markings (4) Date of requalification (5) Safety warnings and other information sign as prescribed, as well as cylinder proper wall thickness, weld integrity and valve fitting following DTI-PNS standards.

Ang sumisingaw at nagliliyab na WELL MAINTAINED na LPG tank ay HINDI basta-basta sumasabog,..

Paano patayin:
1. Kung hindi nadarang sa apoy ang valve, phitin lamang ito upang matigil ang pagsingaw at kusang mamamatay ang apoy
2. Kung nadarang sa apoy ang valve, kumuha ng basang tuwalya, itakip s valve kasama ang tangke ng LPG at saka pihitin ang valve upang matigil ang pagsingaw.

Bkit?
1. Kung well maintained ang iyong LPG tank, hindi ito bibiyak at bibigay s pressure mula sa loob kapag nainitan ang LPG tank
2. Naka bukas ang valve,kung tumaas man ang pressure sa tangke,agad itong sisingaw at hindi tataas sa delikadong level ang pressure ng tangke
3. Ang apoy mula sa valve ay hindi papasok sa loob ng tangke o hihigupin papasok ng tangke.
4. Sa pelikula lamang po sumasabog ang LPG tank kapag nabaril o nadarang ng bahagya sa apoy.

Mga pilosopo: eh bakit sumasabog ang kusina kapag sumingaw ang LPG?

Mga may alam:

1. Hindi ang LPG tank ang sumabog
2. Ang pg sabog o biglaang pagliyab ng kusina o lugar ay dahil sa naipon at nakulong na GAS na humalo sa HANGIN. Sasabog lamang ito kapag nakuha ang tamang timpla ng GAS at HANGIN, kung di sapat ang hangin ay magliliyab lamang ito at di sasabog ng gaya sa mga PELIKULA
3. Ang tsansa n sumabog ang LPG tank ay kapag ito ay LUMA, KINAKALAWANG at HINDI maintained, sa makatuwid, MAHINA NA ANG KATAWAN NG LPG TANK.
4. Meron tayong tinatawag na BLEVE.ano ito?

Ito ay nagaganap kapag ang laman ng isang tangke at naitan at naging V***R n kung saan mag sasanhi ito ng pagtaas ng pressure sa kanyang lalagyan.
Kapag ito at di sumingaw o nabawasan at nahigitan nito ang RATED PRESSURE o ang sagad n pressure na kayang tumagal ng isang container, maaring biglang bumiyak at magsanhi ng biglaan na pagkalat at pgagliyab ng V***R.
5. Kaya importante na mapanatili na maayos ang condition ng ating mga LPG tank sa bahay at panatiliin na nasa OPEN area ito upang maiwasan ang pagkakakulong ng GAS s isang lugar kapag ito ay sumingaw.

Using 22kg cylinder in a 1x1 50 kg cylinder hook up may cause operation to stopped. Due to (1) Pressure drop (2) Temperature drop (3) Cylinder freeze up. This is not advisable.
