our story

Exodus 16:4 “The Lord said to Moses, I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day.”

Describes in the bible:

Manna - was like a corriander seed, taste like wafers made with honey and look like resin. The people went around gathering it, and then ground it in an handmill or crushed it in a mortar. They cooked it in a pot or made it into cakes. It taste like something made with olive oil.

History of Manna from Heaven by Jen Toms

There are questions why named Manna from Heaven? Does it taste perfected pastries created and taste heavenly? Basing at the subject, please allow me to direct all readers to change their point of view and focus to the GIVER (God) and not to the gift (Manna) to better understand why we name it MANNA from Heaven.

10 years ago when I came into consideration to shift career from employee to become a enterprenuer. There are lots of struggles and worries. Starting over may not be sweet and heavenly. There are many challenges that shakes me specially when theres nothing enough to start with.

There are many doubts in my mind as to where am I gonna get my Puhunan? How am I gonna support my daily needs if I stop being employee? What if I lose my only savings if my business fail eventually? I don’t want to suffer the agony of being a failure before my parent.

I am a converted Born again Christian since I married my husband. There, little by little I understand and started to know our Lord Jesus. I learned how to pray and ask for His guidance in every step. He let me experienced how He become my provider during my times of needs. Stepping into the unknown is never an easy decision. Like Israelites during their decision to exit from slavery in to the promise land, God promise to meet the need for food.

As I embrace the decision to shift career from employee to enterprenuer, there came the Giver (Lord Jesus Christ) leading me to this point and able to overcome and show me all the answers to my worries.

From there, Manna from Heaven was born, learned to work hard and at the same time to live by faith trusting the Lord Jesus. God lead me and I started my schooling, eventually baking at home and started selling until I put up my small shop. Every time I look at my store, I see the Giver that provides me my daily bread (Manna) and source of food and income.

As we continue to embrace the real story of Manna from Heaven and still focus to the Giver, the Lord never failed to lead us to idea on how are we be able to provide delicious and mouth watering pastries like Manna from Heaven.
