HSAC RAB 9 Hosts Fourth Housing Forum in Zamboanga City

Yesterday, the Housing Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) RAB 9 successfully conducted its fourth Housing Forum in Zamboanga City at the Astoria Hotel, attracting over 150 participants for a comprehensive one-day seminar. The event focused on a variety of critical topics related to housing regulations, laws, and prevalent issues, encouraging in-depth discussions among attendees.

The forum featured distinguished keynote speakers from several key shelter agencies, with HSAC Executive Commissioner Melzar P. Galicia leading the event. His presence underscored the commitment of HSAC to address pressing housing disputes and concerns in the region. Zamboanga City’s Local Chief Executive, Mayor Dalipe, also attended, emphasizing local government support for housing initiatives.

Additionally, participants received the latest edition of the Magbalantay newsletter, which is now the official publication of the Regional Housing Settlements and Urban Development Coordinating Commitee (RHSUDCC) 9. This newsletter aims to keep stakeholders informed about ongoing initiatives and developments in housing policy.

A standout feature of the seminar was the establishment of a Complaint Desk, where attendees had the opportunity to voice their concerns and file complaints directly. This initiative marked a significant first for HSAC RAB 9, providing a valuable service to participants who wished to address their grievances in real time. The Complaint Desk served as a "caravan of services," reinforcing HSAC RAB 9’s dedication to responsive and accessible support for those in need.

Overall, the forum not only facilitated knowledge-sharing among stakeholders but also strengthened community engagement and support in addressing housing challenges.

As part of a collaborative effort to promote housing initiatives, HSAC RAB IX partners with DHSUD IX for the ongoing 4PH caravan at City Mall Tetuan in Zamboanga City today. Representing HSAC, Chief Regional Adjudicator Atty. Kerth Jossef M. Ablanque and Chief of the Legal Division Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe played pivotal roles in this event.

(AGAP, Inc.). This recognition comes after HSAC consistently took its spot as one of the AGAP Outstanding Accounting Offices for three consecutive years in CY 2021, 2022, and 2023.
