Reflections from the Chair: Together, it can be done!

I am very happy to announce that, for the first time in its 84-year history, the Commission on Elections received an unmodified opinion in the Annual Audit Report of the Commission on Audit.

The COA found that this Commission’s financial statements “present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Commission on Elections as of December 31, 2023” in compliance with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards.

I know that the road towards this achievement has been steep and fraught with obstacles. Therefore, I would like to give my highest commendation to the hard work of all individuals, offices and departments who contributed to this honor. Your hardships and sacrifices have borne fruit. We are truly inspired by your excellence and dedication.

To the entirety of my COMELEC family, congratulations for this achievement! Remember, however, that we must not rest on our laurels. We shall continue to give our best with a goal of becoming the beacon of excellence in public service.

Notice to the Public re Suspension of Issuance of Voter's Certification | 28 November 2023

In view of the last day of submission of the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) on 29 NOVEMBER 2023 in relation to the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, the processing and/or issuance of Voter's Certificate in the Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) is SUSPENDED on 29 NOVEMBER 2023.

Processing and issuance of Voter's Certification in the OEOs will RESUME on 30 NOVEMBER 2023.

Meanwhile, the processing and/or issuance of Voter's Certificate in the National Central File Division, Election Records and Statistics Department (ERSD) located in FEMII Building (back of Chowking), Extension Cabildo Street cor. A. Soriano Avenue, Intramuros, Manila will not be affected by the suspension.

30 araw na lamang para mag-file ng mga sumusunod:

- Manifestation of Intent to Participate ng mga naka-rehistro at kasulukuyang party-list groups o organisasyon, partidong politikal at mga koalisyon.
- Petition for Registration ng mga partidong politikal at mga party lists.

Ang deadline ay sa December 29, 2023

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The Commission on Elections STRONGLY DISCLAIMS anew the circulating advisories purported to be issued by the Education and Information Department (EID).

At first glance, it can be plainly seen that the said circulating ADVISORIES are FAKE, which may confuse and mislead the public, due to the following:

• Incorrect date (November 16, 2023)
• Old EID logo used

Once again, the public is hereby reminded to exercise vigilance in dealing with information from unofficial and unverified sources.
