Recently, a seminar on the integration of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and the Eisenhower Matrix, specifically focusing on the Habit of "Putting First Things First," took place on May 20, 2024.
This integration aims to provide our employees with a practical tool that they can immediately apply to their work. "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" was authored by Stephen Covey, while the Eisenhower Matrix was inspired by Dwight Eisenhower, known for his exceptional time management skills during his tenure in the military and as the 34th President of the USA. He famously stated, “What is important is seldom urgent, and what is urgent is seldom important.”
The seminar was attended by 11 individuals, including Antrak employees and Operations and Field Operations interns.
Succession planning is vital in an industry for continuity of leadership. It will help to mitigate risk by having a seamless transition when key leaders leave or retire which will help the stability of a company.
During the virtual training session on April 16 about succession planning, we learned about the importance of having a talent management plan. This plan involves identifying key positions, reviewing and assessing talent, creating a succession plan, and developing a career ladder for those with potential. It was emphasized that without career development, the succession plan is incomplete.
The training also covered the 9-box matrix, which is used to assess both potential and performance to guide the identification of future leaders.
Overall, succession planning is a proactive measure that ensures strategic continuity and sustained performance by effectively managing transitions for key roles within an organization.
As leaders, our role is to develop people and prepare them for future complex and challenging roles.
We are proud to say Antrak Logistics Philippines is a finalist for Sustainability Champion Award and the Community Impact Impact in the Nordic Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines Nordic-Philippine Business Awards.

The program was first organized on April 12, 2024, after office hours, with the theme 'Bridge Beyond the Office'.
The program aims to establish transparency and connections among employees by adopting sustainable habits, which will make them more productive and avoid non-value-adding tasks and distractions. The long-term effect of this program is work-life integration.
The leaders discussed essential productivity hacks, as inspired by the book "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. A video presentation showcased the most fundamental information about habit formation, which helps employees accomplish more by focusing on less.
The leaders emphasized the importance of having a life beyond office hours and away from the office walls. It is essential to prioritize spending quality time with ourselves, loved ones, and friends.
