Ngayong Buwan ng Wika 2024, sama-sama tayong lumaban at lumaya sa tanikala ng kolonyal na mentalidad na walang pagkilala sa halaga at hiwaga ng pagkatuto gamit ang sarili nating wika.

Kilalanin natin ang kapangyarihan ng ating mga katutubong wika at wikang pambansa sa paghawan ng landas ng bawat Filipino sa pagiging mahusay, malakas, matalino, at mabuting tao. Tanggalin natin ang mga kamalayan at kasinungalingan na gumagapos at pumipigil sa atin sa kung ano ang maaari nating maging. LOOK: Tytana College Student Council Officers had their annual turnover ceremony and planning today, August 8, 2024, at the Multipurpose Hall A of Manila Tytana Colleges from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The attendees consisting of the newly appointed CSC officers for Academic Year 2024-2025 and the outgoing officers from the previous academic year came together to give the incoming Student Council Officers a stepping stone as they prepare for their term. Each of the outgoing officers presented the previous projects and programs organized by the Student Council from the past two semesters. Going through the 2023-2024 annual report, proposal papers, board resolutions, request for payment forms, liquidation reports, among various documentary requirements were discussed in detail to orient future project heads on the paper work they have ahead of them for each initiative they will propose.

Certificates were awarded by Sir Amir Auditor, the CSC's adviser, to the outgoing CSC officers to recognize their effort and hard work during their administration. Finally, after lunch break, the incoming CSC officers discussed their plans for the new administration that will be led by the new slate of officers that will serve, and hopefully inspire, the college student body.

OUR VERY OWN TITAN GOLD MEDALIST! 🥇⛸️

Marian Grace B. Morano of BS Accountancy III took home 2 gold medals from Skate Asia 2024’s Artistic and Dramatic Program held in Taipei, Taiwan from August 3 to August 11, 2024! 💚

Representing Freestyle 1 as her category, Morano was one of the skaters ranked from Pre-Alpha to Freestyle 1 to 10 in the Aurora Ice Rink in NOKE Mall in Songshan District of Taipei. Along with Morano were other skaters from Team Philippines consisting of skaters from around more than 1,000 applicants representing SM MOA, Seaside Cebu and Megamall.

Skate Asia 2024, an awaited annual summer event, is composed of West and East countries such as Hongkong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, United States, and Philippines among other participating countries. Hosted by the Ice Skating Institute of Asia (ISIAsia), the competition brings all skaters around the world to compete in Figure Skating.

To ensure your health and safety, we are pleased to announce that the school clinic is now offering Leptospirosis Prophylaxis Prescription Services. Leptospirosis prophylaxis involves the use of antibiotics to prevent infection after potential exposure to contaminated water. This service is particularly beneficial for those who engage in outdoor activities or are at risk of exposure due to their daily routines.

Some reminders:

▪️ Conserve your gadget battery in case there will be brownout. Charge your phones and powerbanks. As much as possible, use your phone only to check updates.

Additional tips: If Wi-Fi is down already, turn off Wi-Fi to save on battery. If your phone has a Low Power Mode, turn it on.

▪️ Stock up on water and easy to prepare food.

▪️ Secure your house. Move appliances and important belongings to a secure place.

▪️ Prepare power outage essentials like flashlights (and batteries), emergency lamps, candles and matches/lighters. If possible, avoid using candles. If you have to, do not place it near curtains or other flammable materials; better to put in a basin with water. Never leave a lighted candle unattended.

▪️ Refrain from going outside to take photos and videos. Stay indoors.

▪️ If you have pets, secure them also.

▪️ Identify the nearest evacuation center in your area. Follow the instructions of your barangay officials if there is a need to evacuate. Ready your go bags.
