The Ministry of Altar Servers, in collaboration with the Catholic youth organization Unit 26 Chrorale showcased our deep devotion to Mary through dance and our rendition of the song 'Awit sa Ina ng Santo Rosaryo' in celebration of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

As the parish celebrates its 160th feast day, eight senior members of the Ministry of Altar Servers represented the parish and attended the Archdiocese of Manila Altar Servers Convention.

The event began with a solemn morning prayer, led by Msgr. Rolly Delacruz rector of The Manila Cathedral.

Vice rector of The Manila Cathedral, Fr. Vicente Gabriel Bautista, head of the Ministry of Altar Servers under the Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission, led an insightful talk and discussion centered on the identity of the ministry and its objectives.

The convention concluded with the Mass in honor of St. Tarcisius, patron saint of altar servers, presided by Fr. Genaro Diwa, commissioner of the Archdiocesan Litrugical Commission.

On this day, let us remember the birth in Eternal life of our beloved Bro. John Luke Tate III.

Eternal rest grant unto Bro. Luke, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The dogma of the Assumption was formally defined by Pope Pius XII on November 1, 1950, in the apostolic constitution "Munificentissimus Deus."
This declaration proclaimed that Mary was assumed into heaven, both body and soul affirming the belief held by the Church for centuries.The dogma is based on Sacred Tradition and is seen as a natural extension of the belief in Mary's Immaculate Conception and her special role in salvation.

Prayer:

Mary, Queen assumed into heaven, I rejoice that after years of heroic martyrdom on earth, you have at last been taken to the throne prepared for you in heaven by the Holy Trinity. Lift my heart with you in the glory of your Assumption above the dreadful touch of sin and impurity. Teach me how small earth becomes when viewed from heaven. Make me realize that death is the triumphant gate through which I shall pass to your Son, and that someday my body shall rejoin my soul in the unending bliss of heaven.

Grant too that while serving You, may I follow the example of St. Tarcisius, who died protecting the Eucharist, and walk the same path that led him to Heaven. St. Tarcisius, you served the Church as an acolyte during a serious persecution of Christians. Despite danger to your life, you bravely devoted yourself to serving God and His Church. You eventually gave up your life protecting Our Eucharistic Lord.
