Mabiyayang araw ng Huwebes kapanalig! Ipinagdiriwang po natin ang kapistahan ng Pag-akyat sa Langit sa Mahal na Birheng Maria. Ito po si Sr Rose Agtarap ng Daughters of St. Paul para sa Mabuting Balita. Tayo na pong magnilay sa Ebanghelyo ayon kay San Lucas
Ebanghelyo: Lucas 1:39-56
Nagmamadaling naglakbay si Maria papunta sa isang bayan sa mataas na lupain ng Juda. Pumasok siya roon sa bahay ni Zacarias at binati si Elizabeth. Nang marinig ni Elizabeth ang bati ni Maria, sumikad ang sanggol sa sinapupunan niya, at napuspos ng Espiritu Santo si Elizabeth at malakas siyang sumigaw at sinabi: “Lubos kang pinagpala sa mga kababaihan. Pinagpala rin ang bunga ng iyong sinapupunan! Sino nga ba naman ako’t naparito sa akin ang ina ng aking Panginoon? Nang umabot sa aking pandinig ang iyong pagbati, sumikad sa tuwa ang sanggol sa aking sinapupunan! Pinagpapala ang naniniwalang magaganap ang mga sinasabi sa kanya ng Panginoon.” At sinabi ni Maria: “Dinadakila ng aking kaluluwa ang Panginoon at nagagalak ang aking espiritu sa Diyos na aking Tagapagligtas dahil isinaalang-alang niya ang balewalang utusan niya, at mula ngayon, ituturing akong mapalad ng lahat ng salinlahi. Dakila nga ang ginawa sa akin ng Makapangyarihan, banal ang kanyang Pangalan. Patuloy ang kanyang awa sa mga sali’t-salinlahi para sa mga may pitagan sa kanya. Ipinakita niya ang lakas ng kanyang bisig, ipinagtabuyan ang mga taong may mapagmataas na balak. “Pinatalsik niya sa luklukan ang mga makapangyarihan, itinampok naman ang mga balewala. Binusog niya ng mabubuting bagay ang mga nagugutom at itinaboy namang walang-wala ang mayayaman. Nilingap niya ang Israel na kanyang lingkod, inalala ang kanyang awa ayon sa ipinangako niya sa ating mga ninuno, kay Abraham at sa kanyang angkan magpakailanman.” Mga tatlong buwang nanatili si Mariang kasama ni Elizabeth at saka nagbalik sa kanyang bahay.
Pagninilay:
“Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, help us become saints”. Ito ang dasal na unang tumimo sa aking puso nang pumasok ako sa Daughters of St. Paul. Paggising sa umaga ito agad ang umaalingawngaw sa dormitory ng mga sisters. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, “Ang galing naman! Nagsusumamo silang lahat kay Mama Mary na tulungan silang maging banal”. Pangarap ko rin yon! Gusto ko ring maging banal. Pero sa paglipas ng mga buwan at taon sa kumbento, natanto ko na hindi pala madali ang magpakabanal. Parang habang nagpupursige akong maging banal, lalo namang dumarami ang mga pagsubok na humihila sa akin pababa. Pero tuwing maaalala ko ang kapistahang ito, nabubuhayan ako ng loob. Ang pag-akyat kay Mama Mary sa langit, katawan at kaluluwa, ay isang inspirasyon na kaya pala nating mabuhay nang banal at manatili sa pagpapala ng Diyos sa kabila ng ating mga kahinaan. Tao rin si Mama Mary na gaya natin, kaya lang higit syang pinapala sa lahat dahil sa misyon niyang maging ina ng Anak ng Diyos. May misyon din ang bawat isa sa atin dito sa mundo at magagampanan lamang natin ito nang lubos kung tayo’y mananatili sa grasya at pagpapala ng Diyos.
Hindi ba’t nakaka-inspire pagnilayan na balang araw susunod din tayo sa kanya? Kapag nagampanan na natin ang ating misyon dito sa lupa at namuhay sa ilalim ng grasya ng Diyos ay tiyak na sa langit din ang ating punta. Kaya hingin natin ang panalangin at paggabay ng ating inang si Santa Maria upang mapagtagumpayan natin ang pagsubok na dumarating sa ating buhay. Malampasan sana natin ang mga ito at manatili nawa tayo sa piling at pagpapala ng Diyos hanggang sa ating huling hininga.
