We had an amazing orientation at the AUSL Review Room on August 2, 2024! Registration kicked off at 8:00 AM, and the energy was high from the start.
Dean Rina Pascasio from the Office of Student Affairs gave a warm welcome to all attendees. Our event host, Henry Añonuevo Jr., President of the Arellano Law Student Government, led us in the National Anthem and Invocation, setting a respectful and patriotic tone.
Dean Domingo M. Navarro delivered inspiring opening remarks, followed by Dean Lorina L. Pascasio, who passionately discussed AUSL's mission, vision, and core values. Atty. Gabriel P. Dela Peña shared AUSL’s rich history and unique programs that make our school stand out. Atty. Maureen Kay E. Patajo then took the stage to break down academic expectations, grading policies, course structures, and more—ensuring everyone knows how to navigate their journey at AUSL.
Attendees enjoyed free snacks, and Rex Bookstore generously gave away law books—perfect for our new students. Dr. Arnulfo V. Lopez from the AUSL Guidance and Counseling Center gave an insightful talk on the key traits of successful law students.
We also showcased a video presentation highlighting our campus facilities and student organizations, giving everyone a glimpse of the vibrant AUSL community.
The event wrapped up with the ALSG Officers leading us in the Arellano Law Hymn and the Arellano University Hymn, followed by our first group photo of the new students—a memory to cherish!

Arellano Chiefs Environmental Society (ACES) - Tree Planting Project in Pinugay, Baras, Rizal
On July 13, 2024, the Arellano Chiefs Environmental Society (ACES) organized a successful tree planting event in Pinugay, Baras, Rizal. We planted Dwarf Coconut Trees (Cocos nucifera 'Malayan Dwarf'), contributing to the restoration and preservation of our environment.
Under the expert guidance of Atty. Arnaldo M. Espinas, ACES is dedicated to engaging future lawyers in environmental conservation efforts. We believe in the importance of community awareness and active participation in creating a greener, more sustainable future.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers and supporters who joined us in this impactful initiative. Together, we can make a significant difference in nurturing our planet.
AUSL Freshmen Orientation 2024
We had an incredible time welcoming our new law students at the AUSL Library on July 17, 2024. The day started bright and early with registration at 8 AM. The Arellano Law Singers set the tone beautifully with the National Anthem and Invocation.
Dean Rina Pascasio kicked things off with a warm welcome, followed by an inspiring speech from Dean Domingo M. Navarro. Dean Lorina L. Pascasio shared the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of AUSL. Atty. Gabriel P. Dela Peña gave a fascinating overview of AUSL’s history and unique programs, and Rex Bookstore generously gave away law books before lunch.
After lunch, the Arellano Law Singers delighted us with another song. Assistant Dean Erik C. Lazo laid out academic expectations, discussing requirements, grading, policies, and course structure. Atty. Claudine De Luna-Panotes offered great tips on excelling in performance tests, and Atty. Kyle Terence A. Viloria talked about the power of a growth mindset in law school.
The Arellano Law Student Government kept things lively with fun icebreakers and snacks. Dr. Arnulfo V. Lopez spoke about the personality traits of successful law students. We also enjoyed a video tour of campus facilities and AUSL organizations. The Arellano Law Student Government and various student organizations introduced themselves and their missions.
The day wrapped up with the ALSG Officers leading us in the Arellano Law Hymn and the Arellano University Hymn.

AUSL Leadership Training and Planning Seminar 2024
We had an amazing time at the AUSL Leadership Training and Planning Seminar on July 6 and 7, 2024! Held at the stunning Sol Y Viento Hotels and Resorts in Calamba, Laguna, it was a weekend packed with inspiration, learning, and team-building.
Day 1 started off with a warm welcome from Dean Lorina L. Pascasio, setting the stage for two days of growth and discovery. We then dove into a fantastic session on “Resolving Differences: Strategies for Effective Conflict Management” led by Atty. Gabriel P. Dela Peña. The day continued with a fun and engaging Team Building Seminar facilitated by Ms. Christine C. Quita, followed by a delicious dinner and some great evening socials.
Day 2 was just as exciting! We tackled some challenging Outdoor Activities and heard an inspiring talk on “Leading with Purpose and Integrity: Unveiling the Essence of True Leadership” from Atty. Erik C. Lazo. We also had a productive planning session for the Student Council and Organization Heads before wrapping up the seminar.
A big shoutout to the Office of Student Affairs, our incredible speakers, facilitators, and all the participants for making this event a huge success. We can’t wait to put all the new skills we learned into action and continue on our leadership journey!
Mastering Conflict Management: Leveraging Emotional Intelligence and Communication Styles
On July 6, 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting an incredible workshop on Mastering Conflict Management at the AUSL Review Room. This impactful event was spearheaded by the HR Department and expertly facilitated by Coach Adrian Pantonial, LPT, CLSSYB.
The workshop focused on leveraging Emotional Intelligence and understanding Communication Styles to navigate and resolve conflicts effectively.

On June 13, 2024, we had the incredible honor of hosting the Oath Taking Ceremony for the Clinical Legal Education Program Levels 1 and 2 at Arellano University School of Law, in collaboration with City University of Pasay, Manila Adventist College, and Philippine Law School. It was a day filled with inspiration and reflection as we came together to embrace the values of justice and integrity in our legal careers.
We were truly moved by the special message from Hon. Florencio M. Mamauag Jr., Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals. His words reminded us of the profound impact that conscience and fairness have on our profession and our lives.

Arellano Law Foundation's Team Building Seminar 2024 Recap!
Our entire team of 90 employees embarked on an exciting journey to Bonito 2, Morong Bataan for the Team Building Seminar 2024 held from April 30th to May 1st. Departing from the Arellano Law campus at 10 AM, we arrived at the venue around 3 PM. After settling in, we gathered in the resort hall where Ms. Baby Amy Montealegre, our HR Head, welcomed us warmly, followed by an inspiring talk from our Executive Director. We captured memorable moments with department group photos and a full team pictorial while being greeted by the breathtaking sunset.
As the evening progressed, we enjoyed a delightful dinner and engaged in a night of socializing and karaoke, with some opting for a refreshing swim in the resort pool. The following morning started with hot coffee and breakfast, followed by exciting beach games. Patintero, charades, and tug of war brought out our competitive spirits, with the tug of war taking an unexpected turn, much to everyone's amusement. We then had free time to swim and experience the adrenaline rush of riding the banana boat.
Atty. Gabriel Dela Pena conducted a thought-provoking session on the importance of communication within our team and the company as a whole. Afterward, lunch was served before boarding our buses for our return journey, arriving back at the school campus around 6 PM.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this team building seminar a memorable and enriching experience! Here's to fostering stronger bonds, improving communication, and embarking on more adventures together in the future. Let's keep the spirit of teamwork alive!
Justice Mario Lopez Inspires Law Student Practitioners: Embrace the Challenge of Building a Fairer Society
Associate Justice Mario V. Lopez addressed Arellano University School of Law students who completed CLEP levels 1 and 2 during their Oath Taking ceremony on May 7, 2024, in Pasay City. He emphasized the program's practical experience and its role in shaping students morally and emotionally, encouraging them to contribute to a fairer society. The students took their oath before Executive Judge Edilwasif T. Baddiri of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Pasay City, in compliance with Rule 138-A, which requires law schools to establish a CLEP, a law clinic, and recommend eligible students for certification as law student practitioners.

What an amazing weekend it was at the Arellano University School of Law Fellowship Seminar held at Mahogany Hall, Ciudad Christia Resort, San Mateo, Rizal, on April 6-7, 2024! Let's relive the highlights together:
Departure & Arrival: Our journey began from the AUSL Campus at 8 am, reaching Ciudad Christia by 10 am. Warm welcomes and morning snacks set the tone for an exciting day ahead, guided by Dean Rina Pascasio.
Seminar Kickoff: Dean Domingo M. Navarro's inspiring message paved the way for a day filled with insightful discussions. Participants completed paperwork with the Registrar's Office and enjoyed a delightful lunch.
Keynote Speakers: Dr. Arnulfo V. Lopez enlightened us on "Psychological/Mental Preparations for the Bar Examinations." Atty. Leah P. Laja-Otto explored "Ethics and Professionalism in the Legal Profession," while Atty. Edward Justine R. Orden shared wisdom on "Continuing Legal Education."
Evening Socials: Festive vibes ruled the night with dinner, cold beer, and karaoke! Laughter echoed as attendees showcased their talents, making unforgettable memories.
Day Two: The morning started with a hearty breakfast, followed by more snacks and lunch. As the day concluded, we bid farewell, exchanging keys and receiving travel loot bags, marking the end of a successful event.

AUSL's 2024 First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)
Arellano University School of Law successfully conducted the 2024 First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) with the participation of Arellano Law Foundation employees, Faculty, and Students of Arellano University Apolinario Mabini Campus!
Led by the Arellano University School of Law Medical Clinic Department, the drill was a resounding success. When the alarm sounded, everyone remained calm and followed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol until the alarm ceased. They then evacuated to the school quadrangle and conducted a headcount to ensure everyone's safety.

Annual Medical and Physical Check-Up for Arellano Law Employees!
The Arellano University School of Law Medical Clinic Department recently spearheaded our annual medical and physical check-up event for all employees. Despite the early start and 10-12 hours of fasting, our dedicated team patiently lined up for the essential health screenings.
The event included registration, blood extraction, urine collection, visual tests, chest x-rays, and ECGs. After completing these tests, employees were treated to coffee, hot chocolate, and breakfast meals.
Held on March 14, 2024, from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon in the AUSL Review Room, this event ensures that our team stays healthy and ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to everyone who participated! Your health is our priority.
